Enchanted – Job

It had been a week. Geet had been debating her act of flirting with the stranger. No No… extremely handsome stranger.

She was married to Raja Sahib “So what… my life will end after. These are the years I have got for myself. I can enjoy it. I know, I have you and your boring life in my luck but till I have my freedom, why can’t I cherish the feel. The feel of that man running in the palace park that day, Or the man who hold me with authoritative protective hold in palace or this stranger this morning. Why am I not allowed like all other girls of my age to enjoy these feel? Just because I am married to super mature oldie type person like you. No. I have stolen these years for myself and I will enjoy these to full before going back in your life”

Thus Geet was leading her own fun filled life.

It had been her two month in college now and today was their welcome and under grad final year farewell function from college.

“Yaar Geet… the chief guest is super hotty yaar and he is going to provide 1 student with opportunity to work with him. That’s his gesture to college”

“Who is the guest? And which company”

“You don’t know anything Geet – He is Maan Singh Khurana, MD Khurana Enterprise”

“Maan Singh Khurana; impressive name” she herself was Khurana now but she preferred ignoring that part.

“But Khurana Enterprise is big name and it is owned by some palatial Royals right”

“Yeah, Maan Singh Khurana, says he is just an employee there like all others. He is designated as MD”

“OK… weird na… just an employee called as chief guest” Geet was casual.

“He is famous for handling Khurana Enterprise to top”

“Yeah… this man does all work and company is enjoyed and owned by those Royals” Geet cribbed.

“Ok leave Yaar; what have we to do?”                                         

It was bright sunny day of winter and function was held in open huge ground of college. The whole ground looked festive with Colored ribbons and encouraging, well designed posters. The volunteers were dressed in some dress code. Ground had beautiful colorful flower decorations.

Geet and her group were sitting somewhere in middle row.

The function started and the chief guest was called on stage to address students

“Welcome Mr. Maan Singh Khurana” and then the man who came on Stage just took Geet’s breath away –

“Ohh Gosh, my handsome Stranger.” Geet was happily surprised.

“Gone?” teased her friend, confirming her statement few minutes back.

“Completely gone yaar!!!” Geet more than agreed.

The Chief Guest Maan Singh Khurana started speaking. What a speech – Maturity, authority, power, content everything in one speech and taking the attention of whole crowd.

Geet was simply lost like all but then his last statement took her attention

“So I hope many of you have applied for the position of internship to work directly with me. I will give this post to the student I find have most challenge taking attitude”

It took Geet few minutes to absorb the opportunity. Work directly under him? Really?

Now Geet was not going to miss the chance of working with, her Handsome stranger, The Maan Singh Khurana in any ways and on top she was looking for job as well.

Though she has not thought of joining Khurana Enterprise. But now knowing she can get to work directly with MD Maan Singh Khurana, she definitely had to join. This man has for sure taken her attention and his whole personality was something. She cannot miss the chance to not get to know him better. According to her, he was a full package bundled in one. He can be a great distraction from her boring marriage. Ohh how fun it will be, she paused her thought and smile to herself “to flirt with him”.

She smiled at his sentence that day “You have no chance with me girl”

“Haha as if he has chance with me” she smiled to herself. But then she has to rush as she realized she had not filled the form.

“Yaar, has the form for this post already been filled?”  she checked with her friend, who seemed to have much better idea than her.

“Yeah… where were you? Most student already filled. He will be taking interview directly himself after this function”

Geet could not collect the form till the function was over as form was with a senior teacher, who was busy in the function. So after the function was over, she rushed to get the form. It took her ample time for her to get form and fill it. By the time she reached there, she got to know that the last interview is about to be over and they will wrap up the process now. Maan Singh Khurana have to take the flight in evening and so he will immediately leave the premise.

No! Geet cannot let this happen. The moment the student came out, Geet rushed inside. Maan collected his laptop and stuff and turned towards the door and he was shocked to see same girl, he met in police station, blocking his way with both hands spread.

“Geet” he was himself shocked that he remembered her name, the one that she mentioned in jiffy as he was about to sit in the car.

She nodded her head upward and downward.

“My Interview?”

“I don’t have any form left yet” She placed her form in front of him

“Late submission not accepted. It’s all over now” he placed her hand down to move forward. She again placed her hand straight, horizontally.

“No, I really have to work with you. Please don’t deny me from interview opportunity”

“I don’t change rules” “Please-please, I have to work with you. Promise you, I will give you my 100 percent and I will not let you down”

“Many more companies will come, apply there. This is not the last one”

“No, directly working with you I am not going to let other get this chance” She kept on speaking not stop

“BAS!!!!” he shouted at last “No is a No”

“Please Sir… please. I have to work with you. I will give you my best and not a single complain”

Maan realized, this girl is going to take all his time and for some reason he was not able to call the college authority to throw her out.

“Come sit” “Thank you, sir” she immediately took her seat before he changes his decision.

“Ok now tell me, why should I give this position to someone, who did not submit the form on time, come for interview after the process is done and then wrongly enter the room”

“Allegations kee dukaan ho aap” she just blurted

“Excuse Me?” he narrowed his eyes

“No-No sorry. Sir, I know these faults of mine but you see my determination for this job. Sir I will give the best”

“Determination for Job?” he very well knew why she wanted this job

“Yes Sir. I will give my best in my job. You know I really am interested in impressing you”

“Do you realize what rubbish you are talking and to whom you are talking?”

She thought “Sir, that, for sure even you do not know who you are talking to. Your company’s owner’s wife. But I don’t want that tag…. I will prefer to be your assistant sir”

“To my would-be Boss”

“Would-be Boss!!!” he did not know what he was doing listening to this girl. He had all reasons to deny this girl but he was not able to say no to her.

There had to be some logical reason, that he can even give himself for selecting this girl. She was exact case of No and he was somehow not able to say No to her. This, actually never happened with him.

This girl, definitely seems to be determined to get what she want. She has been able to hold his attention. He, who never be moved from his decision, this girl has capability to make him think about his decision. He reasoned to himself.

“OK. But one mistake and you are out”

“Ok??? Means I get the job”

“Remember the warning that comes along”

“Thank you!! Thank You!!” she started jumping and then hit the chair from her leg “Aaaa”

He shook his head and moved to get out “I have to join from tomorrow, right sir”

He turned to her “My HR team outside will connect with you for further process.HR process takes least 1 week. Submit this form of yours to my team “He handed her form that she had filled, back to her, the one, which he did not even give look at. She nodded

“Bye” and he left
