Introspection

After dinner, Rajendra strolled slowly through the garden, using his cane for support.
“Hi Dad,”
Rajendra turned to see Geet beside him.
“May I join you for a stroll?”
“hmm..” he gave the nod. Rajendra was not the man who would directly say ‘No’ to anyone or be rude to a girl. Also, he was not very clear on Maan’s inner feelings for her.
He knew that Maan definitely wanted to keep a distance from her and did not want her in his life. But he was confused whether she really meant nothing to him or if he was that unaffected as he claimed.
Maan was deeply hurt by her and ultimately decided to leave her to move on with his life. Indeed, he has advanced significantly on a professional level, but when it comes to the emotional aspect, although he has distanced himself, he has not fully closed that chapter. He never went through with a divorce, claiming it would be a draining process that could distract him. But how so? What makes it so exhausting? Maan has a large team and an excellent legal squad capable of managing his case with minimal effort on his part. So, what draining process is he referring to?
“Dad, it seems that in this house, you speak the least.”
“hmmm… that’s me”
“Can I ask you a personal question?”
“You can ask. Whether you get an answer from me is uncertain,” he replied in a slow and calm tone.
“This walking on a cane and your health… I mean… is it from a long time”
“This has significantly improved, and I feel fortunate to manage to walk and talk, even if it’s not exactly like everyone else; still, I am no longer an invalid. All credit goes to Maan. My son is always mindful of everyone’s problems, and addressing them is his top priority. But tell me, what exactly brought you here to chat with me?”
“Dad, I’m here living in this house with all of you. I know you haven’t fully accepted me, but to me, this is my family.”
He looked at her and smiled “See, we never have a one-on-one talk. Now that we are talking, I am curious about a few thing. Basically, it can help you introspect on consequences and the acts that you are putting up.”
“Ji”
“Just picture this: one fine morning, let’s say tomorrow, you wake up to find Maan right there in your room, telling you he’s ready to begin anew with you.”
“Can that happen?”
“I am not sure if that will ever happen, but I am just presenting a hypothetical scenario. If it were to happen, would you still want to know about my health or Sandhya’s cooking skills?”
“All these years, I have yearned for Maan every single moment, and in that journey, I have embraced everything related to him as my own. Even before I stepped into this home, I considered all of you as family. I understand that it will be difficult to trust me, especially since, during my time with Maan, I was too arrogant to visit any of you even once.”
“It is easy and convenient to embrace a family of affluence as your own, but embracing the same family that is economically and socially below the standard is not so simple.”
“I have made many mistakes that can’t be undone. But Dad, now that I understand that this is my family, I will stand by my family through any storm.”
“But since Maan is not accepting this relationship, how can you claim this family as yours?”
“But this is my family, and it will always be. Our marriage was arranged by our families, and I got Maan in my life because you all accepted my dad’s proposal. It took me some time to understand this, Dad. I came from a completely different background, but I have learned. Maan’s leaving my life has taught me many lessons and the importance of various things.”
“In what hope are you staying in this house? What if Maan never welcomes you into his life?”
“I’ll keep trying and wait for the day he accepts me.”
“He also claims that he has moved on from you. What if a girl comes into his life?”
“I am his wife, and I will continue to work on our relationship and make every effort to win him over. As long as I am his wife, this family is my family.”
“And what if he presents you with divorce papers? Will you take the matter to court then?”
“No. If he signs the divorce, I will sign it without a word and leave his life for forever. He will never see my face again after that. All of you will always be my family in my heart. But for me, moving on is simply out of the question. Anyone other than Maan is entirely impossible.”
“Never say never, Geet. You can’t predict what the future holds; someone might enter your life, and you could find yourself ready to move on.”
Geet looked at him and smiled, “For three years, I have been away from Maan, and in those three years, I have spent every day falling more and more for him. I think that will never change, even if he divorces me.”
“hmmm… Alright, let’s consider another scenario. What if Maan welcomes you into his life on the condition that you will never assert any claim to his property or financial assets?”
Geet looked at him and smiled
“Can I give my answer on this tomorrow?”
“You do not need to answer me, but as you are giving your time here, I thought I would give you some scenarios to introspect.”

Intriguing and Wholesome Chapter
I really liked the fact that Rajendra spoke to Geet and perhaps this way too
he will learn about her.
Geet telling him that she wants to be Maan’s wife and the daughter in law to the family
while Rajendra ask Geet what she’ll do when Maan gives her divorce and in that
reply it was evident that Geet will do anything just for Maan’s happiness
also he asking Geet if matters between herself and Maan were good would she have
taken the time to speak to him
and perhaps in a way all this will help Geet grow stronger towards his family where
she truly can be called the daughter in law
Geet herself has many facts to ponder about and make right between herself
and Maan and between herself and her in laws
hopefully someone gives Geet a small chance to prove herself

oh this was beautiful so geet had someone at home who could think about the future…the scenarios from maan’s father side was valuable as he thought maan could have given easily divorce to geet with wonderful team of advocates but he is denying the process .. geet’s answered genuinely towards the questions waiting to read more thanks for the PM dear ❤️

awesome update . maan’s dad was a sensible person , his conversation with geet was truly interesting….. it seems he was taking exam of geet and that was justified cos geet did many mistakes and she was right , she was arrogant in past but she learned her lesson that’s why gave to the point answer to maan’s dad except last one .

Hi, nice chapter dear, geet met with rejendra in garden to talk with him, she asked rajendra can she join him, rajendra not a rude person he permit her to join, he asked geet, if Maan divorced her can she will go against him to court, geet said that she will sign in the divorce paper and went away from his life forever, she apologized for her past behaviour when Maan is a part of her, she said that she thinks of them as her family.

Impressive update…fantastically written
oh Geet wanted to join Rajendra for a stroll
well Rajendra agreed
Rajendra’s thoughts and confusion were reasonable
he indeed knows that Maan was deeply hurt by Geet
he was correct that Maan has not fully closed the chapter on his relationship with Geet
he is clearly does not understand what is holding Maan back from finalising the divorce
great seeing Geet’s concern for Rajendra
wish this would have been earlier
of cos Rajendra gave credit to Maan
Maan is an amazing son and brother
Rajendra is clearly astute
his question was justified
now Geet sees them as her family
Rajendra’s remarks were understandable
well he presented a hypothetical scenario to Geet
glad that Geet was direct with Rajendra
pleased that she knows that they cannot trust considering her behavior
Rajendra was naturally skeptical
pleased that Geet admitted that she was wrong
he raised valid points
however Geet assured him that she has accepted this family as hers
she has learnt the hard way
not surprised with Rajendra’s further question
as expected Geet keep trying will wait for Maan to accept her
Geet and Rajendra’s convo was necessary
pleased that he presented with her different scenarios
he clearly wants to Geet to introspect
admire Geet’s resolve
she loves Maan and will always love Maan no matter what
so if he wants a divorce and signs the papers, she will leave Maan
but will never move on
amazed that Geet needed time to respond to Rajendra’s last scenario

When I started reading this story, I felt this will be same as roothe piya ko maanao kaise with innocent maan and arrogant Geet. But damn you surprised me with a eloborate yet significant character sketch for both Maan and Geet. Each chapter from the start was intriguing and amazing. Their character development and their secret love seems to be something different from your other stories. Iam loving it thoroughly. I love how you are not rushing anything and defining each and every characters. You are one awesome writer.
Coming to the recent update. I really like how Geet is handling the situation very calmly, sensibly, genuinely yet passionately(lots of inner turmoil). I really love Geets confidence and determination to know Maans family and to get what she has missed.
Recently, few updates are mysterious with Maan’s business and their family problem. Hope to get to know what are the secrets of Maan’s business and family previous issues. Can’t wait to read more updates. Thank you for the PM.
