Epilogue
Everything in Maan and Geet’s life changed since ‘Navya,’ their little princess, arrived in their world.
She was undoubtedly the love child, as her arrival in this world has brightened everyone’s life with immeasurable positivity. Not only did Maan and Geet felt positivity towards others, but everyone around them felt the same.
Geet’s family was consistently supportive of her, always enveloping her in unconditional love and encouragement. When Maan entered her life, they extended the same warmth to him. It didn’t take long for them to perceive the depth of love that Maan held for Geet, and same went for Geet. They recognized early on that Maan would always place Geet above himself, and they were well aware of Geet’s fierce devotion to him. Thus, when Maan decided to settle in Australia with Geet, choosing not to connect with anyone else, they unanimously agreed without hesitation.
Now, Maan has summoned them here himself. All barriers have been shattered. The affluence, pride, and respect that Maan bestowed upon Geet have brought even greater love and admiration for him in their heart. Geet’s life, which once felt desolate and devoid of hope, was transformed by Maan, who entered her world and offered her everything that not only filled her existence with joy but also provided her with more than she ever imagined. Her happiness was taken from her; he returned it in abundance, her respect was stripped away; he restored it multifold, and her belief in love had faded; he enveloped her life with his love all around.
And then, the instant they caught sight of the little angel, positivity bloomed tenfold in their hearts. They realized at that very moment that everything was as it should be, and they could finally let go of their worries for Geet because Maan was there, looking after everything.
As for Maan’s family –
Raj remained the most composed among them. He had unwavering confidence in Maan, but as he walked through the premises of Maan’s land, a sense of pride swelled within him. His son had the remarkable ability to take sand in his hand and transform it into gold through sheer hard work and dedication. Kamini, Savitri Devi, Vicky, and Annie were also taken aback by the grandeur of the manor Maan had purchased. Now beautifully renovated, it bore Maan’s signature style, yet they could all distinctly feel Geet’s influence woven throughout.
The guilt consumed them. Geet, who meant the world to Maan, had been deeply hurt by their actions. Kamini and Savitri Devi were engulfed in even greater remorse. When they should have showered love upon Geet, the girl who was the eldest daughter-in-law of the family and the one who brought joy to their son, they had instead inflicted pain on her. Maan had anticipated his family treating her like a princess in his home, but they delivered the exact opposite. Not only did they hurt Geet, but they wounded Maan profoundly as well. But that was enough. Now, for them, worldly concerns could ever come before their own family.
Vicky and Annie threw their backpacks when they saw Maan standing in the hall, smiling at them.
“Bhai..”
“Bhai..” They hugged Maan tight; Maan hugged them back.
“Bhai.. missed you so much…” said Vicky
“Bhai, you didn’t miss us?” Annie complaint
“You think so?”
“I know you did. We all know how much you love us… that’s why the house feels so empty… so lifeless.”
“Don’t ever say that. You are there, the charm and heart of our home. When you’re around, there’s no way the house could feel lifeless,” Maan gently reprimanded her, running his fingers through her hair affectionately.
Kamini and Dadima looked at the siblings banter
“These sweet talks won’t work. I am angry with you and I am here for Geet and our little princess.” Annie told Maan. He took it with a smile.
Mrs. D’Souza appeared from other side
“Come, I will take you all to Ma’am and our princess”
“Mrs. D’Souza!!” they said in unison. Shocked!
Kamini looked at Raj and he nodded.
“Princess has just come to sleep and if ma’am will move even a bit, she will wake up”
“And I want our princess awake” claimed Annie
“Annie, No!!” called out Kamini but Annie rushed.Vicky stayed out, while kamini and Savitri Devi followed her.
All of them reached the grandly decorated master bedroom suite of Maan and Geet.
Rano was still in the room when the Khurana ladies entered. As Annie went to see Geet and the princess ‘Navya’, Kamini and Savitri Devi went to Rano
“We are sorry, Rano ji”
“But why are you sorry? Geet is fine, and Nvaya is a beautiful addition to our family.”
“Your daughter is too good and will never tell you all that it was because of our wrong behaviour, they left the family and country.”
“Ghar me choti badi baaten hoti rehti hai, kuch galti hum bado se ho jati hai, kuch galti bachoon ki hoti hai. Aur kabhi hum bade maaf nahi ker pate, kabhi bachoon ko maaf kerne me deri hoti. This is all that makes a family a real family. And you see, when the real time came, Maan couldn’t stop from calling his family, haina?”
“Hmmm.. woh bhi Geet ki jid hi hogi. We are so lucky to have Geet as our daughter-in-law.”
“And we are so happy to have Maan as our son-in-law. Now I’ll go and get some rest; you should go meet your granddaughter,” she smiled and left.
Annie woke up Navya, and her baby’s cries stirred Geet from her sleep as well. Geet got up to find Annie, Mom, and Dadima gathered together. Her joy knew no bounds as she placed her hands on her lips, tears brimming in her eyes.
“I’m sorry, I was sleeping. I had no idea you all were coming today. Maan bhi na…” But before she could finish, Kamini enveloped her in a tight hug. Annie already held the baby in her arms as she allowed the lady to pour out her heart.
“Please forgive us, dear.”
“Mom?”
Kamini caressed her cheeks
“We are so unfortunate for not valuing the diamond that Maan found. He brought this gem into our lives, and we dismissed her as if she were just a stone.”
“Mom, please. I’m really sorry; it’s my fault that Maan left the house.”
“Nahi beta, Kamini is right. When we should have showered you with love, we instead hurt you. You both had to part from our large family and build everything here on your own.”
“Alone? You really think Maan would ever let me feel that way or let me bear the weight of it all by myself?” A warm smile blossomed on Geet’s face.
“Maan is my world, and when he is near me, he ensures he stands between me and even the smallest of stresses. I missed you all deeply, but he was even harder on himself. Yet, we faced it together and worked through it. I never stopped missing you all, though. And, I will also never expect an apology from my mom and Dadima; all we desire is your love and blessings.”
Later, Vicky had a long talk with Geet. Raj had his emotional moment with both Maan and Geet.
Maan had not yet properly met his mom and Dadima. They were waiting for Maan to come to them, if he had forgiven them. If he did not come, then they had to wait for his forgiveness.
Kamini, Rano, and Savitri Devi were in the room, looking after Navya. Though professional nannies were there, the ladies had sent them away.
There was a knock on the door that was already open. They turned to see Maan standing there.
“May I come in?” Kamini stood, her gaze fixed upon him.
“Maan.” The deep longing of a mother for her beloved child lingered in the air, heavy with emotion.
Maan smiled and moved ahead.
“I’ll take Navya to her mother. It’s been a while.” Rano excused herself and gave them the needed space.
Maan bent down to seek blessings from his Dadima, then turned to his mother. Kamini’s eyes shimmered with welled up tears.
With gentle care, he brushed them away before they could trail down her cheeks. In response, Kamini wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace.
“Aise koi apni maa se naraz hota hai,” she lovingly scolded him. and caressed his cheeks
“Aaankhen taras gayi thi.. Why not? You can act the way you want. Your name – ‘The Maan Singh Khurana’ is far greater than your mother’s mere existence.” Maan wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. She was his mother; her scolding, day and night for even the smallest things, only deepened their bond.
“It’s a shame on me to ever believe that I am above my mother. I apologize for making you think that way. I realize I was too harsh, but it that time it was necessary, Mom.”
“Maan, come sit,” asked Dadima, keeping her calm
“Bete, family is not about keeping everyone happy all the time. While we all strive to do good for our loved ones, our methods can sometimes be wrong; however, our intention is always for each other’s betterment. Man mutao hona, that’s part of family life, yet we remain united. We don’t simply walk away from our family.”
“Dadima, do you really believe I would abandon my family for something trivial? She was never truly accepted as one of us. If she had been welcomed with open arms, I wouldn’t have felt the need to react at all. You can scold her, teach her, be firm with her—why would I step in? But the truth is, she was excluded, and that hurt deeply. She is a part of my very being, Dadima. The mere thought of her being away from me tears at my heart. Yet, that doesn’t diminish my love for my family. My heart beats for my family, which includes all of you—Geet and Navya, too.
You know better than anyone, Dadima, that I would go to any lengths for all of you.”
“You keep fighting for wrong and right in the family, not just leave the family and go away” scolded Kamini
“I have never left my family; we are and will always be one. And now, I really feel that you have truly accepted Geet from your heart.”
“I want to shower my love on her. I want her to stay with us. She is a gem, and even if you show your anger towards her, we will stand by her,” said Kamini. Maan smiled at that.
“This is all I had wished for. Mere hisse ka sara pyar usse mil jaye”
“Hmmm… kyunki woh diwani, she will return it all to you with interest”
“See, I am a businessman.” The air was getting lighter.
“Then come back. The house feels so vacant without both of you and now, our Navya. How can we bear this separation?”
“Is traveling to and from India and Australia a concern for the Khuranas? Any of us can stay at any place for any amount of time.
Think of it as a business expansion for the Khuranas. I’ve just started, and I have several expansion plans here. Geet will definitely make her mark here. Koi gila shikwa nahi hai mom, and it can’t be. I can’t survive being upset with you and that crazy girl; she needs you all. Just give me some time.”
“Hmmm.. I am going to keep coming” said kamini
“I will be most happy, but let me remind you, you cannot be away from Dad for too long either.” Kamini grasped his ears and gave them a twist.
The whole air in the manor was filled with love and warmth.
It was all the magic of Maan and Geet’s little angel, Navya.
That midnight when Navya entered the world, Geet was enveloped in a deep sleep, exhausted from the struggle of her first feeding. Maan remained faithfully by her side, dozing on the sofa in the corner, while Navya lay peacefully in her cradle.
Suddenly, Navya’s wail pierced through the serene quiet, jolting both Geet and Maan awake. Geet sat upright as Maan swiftly dashed to scoop up their little girl, hurrying to place her into Geet’s waiting arms. In that brief moment, with Maan supporting Navya as she nestled against Geet, a radiant light flooded the room, illuminating their intimate bond.
Maan and Geet were taken to different world.
The huge while cloudy figure stood in front of them.
“You two have triumphed in love against insurmountable odds. You have battled against supernatural forces strong enough to keep your souls apart for thousands of years. You have reincarnated in countless forms to unite, yet the darkness of this world’s animosity has consistently prevailed.”
“But in this human form, as Maan and Geet, you have triumphed over all the evil hurdles placed before you. Together, you have conquered this battle against hatred not through superhuman strength, but through the extraordinary power of your pure love. It is this love, in its truest form, that has been more than sufficient to win this fight.”
“And today, with the birth of your daughter, who symbolizes your win over all hatred, you are granted the gift because the dark world cannot even touch you anymore.
We bless you to release the burdens of the supernatural battle you both endured and embrace a new life together, filled with love surrounding you. Your daughter is a symbol of a beautiful, love-infused new beginning – we shall call her ‘Navya’.
For this life, we grant you the freedom to lead a typical human existence—one that will be enriched with love and the companionship of those around you.
In life’s journey, there will inevitably be ups and downs, but your love, unity, and the arrival of Navya are what truly define your lives; you will effortlessly overcome any challenges that come your way.
Wishing you both a joyful new beginning.”
And soon, life returned to normal as Geet and Maan completely forgot about the supernatural powers they had once encountered. All that lingered in their hearts was their unending love for each other.
They looked at their daughter together and called out, “Navya,” then surprisingly looked at each other, not knowing why they had called her that.
“We will call her Navya, what do you think?” Maan asked Geet
“I think it’s a perfect name.”
*****
Both families resided there for over a month, taking responsibility for the baby.
Navya was cared for by many people in the house, but Maan and Geet primarily attended to the baby when she needed to be fed. Once the family leaves, Navya will be alone with just her mom and dad at home. Therefore, they wanted to create some time for the couple to connect. Although they had months together, everyone knew it had not been an easy year, given the new living arrangements and the stress of leaving family behind. Now, they sought some meaningful time to bond. Geet, as well, wanted Navya to experience the full warmth of family care.
That night, after his conversation with his mom and Dadima, Maan felt incredibly alive. He experienced a newfound freedom within himself and wanted to celebrate it with his beloved wife, his Misty, his Geet.
When he entered the room, Geet was lovingly feeding their little angel. Unable to resist, he took a few steps closer to them. He bent down and gently kissed the forehead of his little princess. The baby moved her head slightly, expressing her irritation at being interrupted during her meal. Both Maan and Geet chuckled. Maan then planted a soft kiss on Geet’s cheek, causing a blush to spread across her face.
“I’ll be back after a quick shower,” and he left. Navya got busy with her Mumma.
Maan stepped out of the shower and headed to his changing room, a towel wrapped around his waist as he searched for his clothes. The entrance of a sweet fragrance caught his attention, making him turn around. There stood Misty, draped in a deep blue satin nightgown that flowed elegantly over her stunning figure, held up by delicate straps. A radiant smile illuminated her face.
Maan stood watching his wife approaching him with mischief in her eyes.
Geet embraced him tightly, her hands resting on his back, fingers gripping his shoulders. She placed several deep kisses on his chest.
“Navya got a good feed. She will not need her mom for a couple of hours,” Geet said, coming even closer to him, taking his fragrance within her
Maan wrapped his hand around her “, but her Dad needs you badly,” he said, pulling her even closer, gluing her to himself. He traced his fingers up her arms to her face, raising the needed sensation within her, rolling the curls
“Sorry, no free hours for you,” Geet pushed her forehead into his chest. She badly needed his closeness and to get lost in the warmth of his love, and her heart ached to burn in the fire of his passion. Maan could sense her need because he had the same ache going within him
Ignoring the change of clothes, he simply picked her up in his arms and carried her to the bed. Geet wrapped her hands around his neck, her eyes never leaving his handsome face
“It’s not fair to me. How do you manage to look so handsome every moment of the day, in every mood?” she lovingly complained.
“Toh problem kya hai? I have no problem with my wife looking breathtakingly beautiful and edible all the time,”
He said with a smile, placing her on the bed and lying beside her, half on top of her. His fingers were already doing their magic on her shoulders, making patterns.
“Problem toh hai. Between the whole family, when everyone is talking emotionally, or having some serious talk, you suddenly appear and take my mind to a different tangent. And then, taking my heart away, you disappear for hours.” She complained. Ohh, what a complaint.
“Shhh… you talk too much. Diwani ho, toh jaroori hai mujhe bhi apne ulti seedhi baaton se diwana banate raho.” and he placed his lips on hers, “Maan” Geet uttered. “Bola na, no more words”
Then Maan filled her with his soft and deep kisses, reliving their love and passion. Geet completely surrendered herself to Maan’s passion. They lost themselves in each other, forgetting the world around them.
Geet was lying cozy in his arms when there was a knock on the door
“Navya…” Geet said
“I’ll get her”
Maan went to get their princess. “I’ll be back in half an hour. After her feed, I will change her,” said the nurse
“You can go to rest. She will sleep with her Mom and dad today. We will take care”
Maan walked in with their daughter. Geet fed Navya while Maan enjoyed watching the entire process. They changed her, and Geet freshened up herself. They played for hours with their baby girl until she finally gave in and fell asleep between them.
