Enchanted – Confess

After a week of rest under his wife’s care, supervision and loads of lovemaking, Maan was back on his feet.

He could not understand how Dadima could not see Geet’s crazy love for him. As casual as she was in her own regards, she was double cautious when he was a matter of concern. Be his medication, bandage, food, exercise, she remembered everything.

Even though he had suggested she not go to Dadima as of now due to her misconception and anger, Geet had visited Dadima.

“Dadima”

“You may leave. Unlike your husband, I do not shower love on anyone who bring crack between the family”

“No Dadima. How can there be a crack, there is no crack Dadima.We are family and we love each other. Raja Saheb, loves you and everyone so much”

“Ohh, so you think, now you, the girl who is so new to this family will tell me how much my grandson loves me. As if I need your words”

“Dadima, what is my fault? Mujhse itna kyun naraz hain aap”

“Fault? You are still asking what your fault is? Don’t you realize you are the reason of misunderstanding and sour feelings in my sweet family”

“No Dadima, all I want is that our family have strong bond and we protect each other with our love”

“Keep this sweet talk for your husband, who these days is blind in your love. After pushing him in the fire of danger, after bringing a gap between Grandma and Grandson, you are coming here to prove your innocence.”

“Dadima, I cannot even dream of causing the gap between you two or any family member. Also, his love for you is so strong that even if anyone tries, they cannot bring the gap. Trust your grandson”

“Yes, so better do not try”

“Why will I, Dadima? This is my family. App kyun naraz hain mujhse. I love you too Dadima. You are our elder, I need your hands with blessing over my head”

“You may leave”

Geet did not say a word about her talks with Dadima. She tried to be as casual and loving to Maan. But Maan knew her a little too well. Even in her smile and talks, her facial expression, he knew there was some matter. He tricked her with indirect questions, to which she never mentioned about her talks with Dadima, but he figured out the matter

“I asked you to avoid going to Dadima for now. She is upset”

“When did I say I went to her. Aur kyun na jaoon main? Is she only your Dadima? She is upset with me, so I can go to ask her concern”

 Maan took the hold of a cane to support him while standing. The wound was healing but doctors have advised him to avoid placing whole body pressure on the wounded one till it completely heals

He pulled her to him and circled his hand around her waist. It was so tough for him to hold his urges around her. On top today she was in saree and her bare petite waist between the bottom rim of the blouse and rim of her red saree was badly teasing him.

As she was pulled close to him, he looked at her face rubbing his hand on her abdomen, playing his fingers on her belly button

“Did she even listen to your plea?”

“Why do you think that I went to Dadima? Did I tell you?”

“You don’t need to… I know you well. First this saree to impress her and then your low and lost face”

She pouted, little irked, he read her so well. She again feels like a child in front of him

He lifted her up a little and bent himself a little and pressed his lips on hers. 

“Don’t do such acts. I need to focus on my work front as well. Yaa phir tumhare hee aage piche ghumta rahoon”

Geet blushed, smiled and looked down. Maan then gives her tons of work so that she is busy till he is back and does not think about her tough interaction with Dadima.

Maan knew, his little wifey doesn’t show. But how much painful it can be for her to face Dadima’s anger on her and Dadima suddenly not treating her as family. 

Dadima has left no option for him. He has to clear her name now. And yes, it is also time for him to accept his acts. He is her culprit and he has to accept his deed and leave it on her to forgive him or not.

Maan was in his study, going through the reports that Vicky presented for him while Vicky was seated opposite to him

“Bhai, all confession written, audio and video are available”

“Hmmm..” Maan said keenly looking at the reports

“Bhai.. what I was thinking is, Bhabhi can be proved innocent in front of Dadima, even without you confessing that you planned to trap them”

“Do you have any idea what all Geetanjali has gone through because of this plan of mine? She had to bear the situation where I was in the ICU. If that was not enough, all blame went on her and she was not even allowed to be present there and meet me. You expect me to be a coward to not tell her the truth of thing that caused her immense pain and humiliation”

“This will hurt her further, Bhai”

“I know. But I have already hurt her a lot. Now when it is my turn to accept my doings, you want me to escape in the name of not hurting her further. No Vicky. I will accept my doings and give her a chance to decide to forgive me or not.”

Maan then read all written confessions, listened carefully to the audio and video confessions.

All confessions were kept safe. They had several types of confession from several people only to be released when and where needed.

Some can also be kept just for bending people on their knees. Raja Saheb was all in action, knowing how to deal with the world. 

In the evening, Maan Dadima, Vicky and Geet were seated in the Media room. 

Vicky first presented the written letter of confession on the projector. The letters of confession  surprised both Dadima and Geet.

First confession letter was from Arjun. Geet did not know what Maan and his team did with him; Arjun clearly confessed that he tried to get internal information via Annie. He also tried to make sure that Annie forced her family to have an alliance with him. And the whole purpose of it was to seep that extended family into the Royals.

Maan was seething with anger while showing the letter. None of them could even imagine, what will Maan now do with Arjun Rathod.

“Annie had this boy as her boyfriend” uttered shocked Dadima

Geet opened her mouth to answer but Maan signaled her to not say a word. Dadima was as of now in that state of mind that she will go against Geet for any reason and this was especially Geet not telling her before about Annie. 

“You trust you Grandsons Dadima”

“Annie is your child more than me. When you are on it, I have no worries. But I am shocked”

Then there were a series of confessions where people who actually participated in the whole setup of hitting on Raja Saheb, confessed how they were aware of Raja Saheb’s attendance in the program since a month ahead and have been planning this activity.

“They were planning this for a  month before?”  uttered Dadima while Geet was all shocked

“How could you and your security not find out” Geet almost shouted

“Vicky, I left him on your security then how could”

“Geet…aanjali, calm down. Our security was on top of it”

“Kaise.. if they were on top of it, how were the enemies able to attack you” Geet had her voice cracking

“Vicky, with your security how could this even happen” Shouted Dadima

Poor Vicky gulped his saliva in his throat. He felt he was the culprit to the two ladies there.

“Give me sometime both of you. Calm down. I am here all fine and healthy in front of both of you” Maan said, trying to keep his voice unfaltering. Though he was dreading how they would react on listening to his confession.

Then there was audio video confession of the man who had named Sandeep leaking information.

“Sandeep had no idea of where the program and attack was to happen. He was simply planted and pre-provided with the limited information. The purpose was to just be friends with Geet and give her the illusion that she was providing him the information.”

Dadima looked at Geet “But why?”

“So that, in case they are caught, they can still harm us by trying to bring crack in our family,” Maan said, looking into Savitri Devi’s eyes. She looked at Geet, who looked down.

“Listen further” and Vicky started the audio Video confession

“Sandeep was given limited information and was asked to befriend Rani Sahiba. So that when the sudden blame is placed on her, she gets confused and the family doubts her. Once she would is out of family, then the plan was to spread the news that commoner had been mistreated by Royals … and Royals image will be tarnished….and so on and on”

Dadima looked at Raja Saheb and their eyes met. She then looked at Geet, who was intentionally looking down. Geet knew Dadima would be on the wrong foot and she cannot see the respected Dadima of her Raja Saheb in that state.

Then came Sandeep’s confession “I have befriended Rani Sahiba’s friend. Through him, I indulged in her group. Seeing her as a carefree girl, I thought it would be an easy task. But it was hard for me to get even a single information from her, especially about  Raja Saheb. She loves him a little way too much. I had to then pour out the information that I was already feeded to me. Though she didn’t confirm any of my statements directly, her not denying any directly was what I used.”

Vicky stopped all confession. The heaviness was hanging in the room. Geet was in shock at how she had been used. Savitri Devi, was in shock at her own actions. She still did not know how she was feeling about Geetanjali. But she was feeling uneasy. She had never been guilty of being cruel to anyone.

“But how was you so sure about all this and sure that Geetanjali did not leak any info” asked Dadima, suddenly

“Dadima, how could Geetanjali leak any information, when she herself never knew where I was when I was on tour?”

“I thought you told her everything”

“Just like I do not tell you about my whereabouts, I do not give her full detail. It is for your own safety.”

“But that’s not the only reason. I knew about  it as it was all our plan to trap them. They do not have capacity to reach me unless we leave a loop on our own to let them reach me”

“What?????”

Maan did not have guts to look at Geet

“Dadima, I had planned with all precaution” Savitri Devi shook her head

“You planned to be shot” he heard a strange aloof voice of Geet. He looked at Geet, who moved back to find support for herself. her legs were shaking

Maan ran to her “Just a shot, Geet. I made sure to be careful for the hit to not be critical”

“You really planned to get shot, to really hit you” Geet’s eyes were wide with shock and her face white. She was shaking badly. How could he, how could her husband. And he did not give her any hint.

Geet stumbled, her legs felt weak. Maan reached to hold her but she stopped him  by hand “Geet, trust me I had to, to get these people out of our life. But all precautions were taken”

“You planned to get shot” she murmured and slid against the wall as it hit her back.

“Geet, I am fine now” he again tried to hold her but she brought both her hands in front of her, as if saving herself from the pain that had hit her. Geet felt blank and darkness in front of her

Maan hesitated, his hands shaking, for the first time to hold his wife. He somehow gathered guts and held her arms, near her shoulder tight “Geet”. But he got a surprising response in return, she stiffened. Should never voice against his any touch on her, it was a clear indication, she wanted him to get his hands off her. Geet looked at his face, blankness written all over her as she was reading his face

“He dared to get himself shot. A little slip and her world… he was her world. Does he not know, every breath that she takes has his name… how could he.. and he kept her in dark…Does her love.. her madness for him is just a childish game for him…” things were running all over her brain, it was so clouded…

“I have to go… I need to Go”

“Geet suno toh… theek hoon main… kuch nahi hua mujhe”

“I have to go.. I have to go please..” Maan had to remove his hand from her. She got up and ran out of the room… he just kept looking at her retreating figure

“I will see where Bhabhi is going..” Vicky stepped ahead “Vicky no.. let her” Maan stopped her

Maan sat there on the floor, supporting himself on the wall. His eyes went on Dadima, who was looking at him, still in shock. Maan was her weakness above anything. She could have dealt with those leeches all life but Maan in danger was beyond her to absorb. How could he make such a risky plan, anything could have happened, anything.

“Dadima” he called out

She said no word, just got up from the chair. But the old lady, in shock, stumbled. Vicky ran to hold her. She jerked his hand away “Dadima, Bhai wooh” but he earned a very hards slap on his cheek

“How could you let it happen… how could you allow him” her voice screetched as she shouted on Vicky

Maan lifted his guilt loaded body to approach her “He is not at fault Dadima” as he reached her, she showed her hand to stop him. And then she felt some crack in her heart and placed her hand on her heart. Maan soon grabbed her and she fainted in his arms

“DADIMAAAAAA!!!!”

“Vicky, arrange the ambulance”

Within half an hour they were in Khurana City Hospital of Kalsia. Doctors were checking on Dadima.

“Bhai, Bhabhi is also on the way. She had locked herself inside a room. Only learning about Dadima’s attacked she opened the room”

“This time, it is not going to be easy Vicky” he paused “with both of them”

Doctor came out “Raja Saheb, Savitri Devi Ji had a minor attack. But now she is fine. We have prescribed the medication, she will be fine but make sure she is completely at rest with no stress”

“Hmmm” Maan nodded. 

Maan and Vicky were preparing Dadima’s discharge, when Geet reached. Maan looked at her face but Geet looked everywhere other than him. Dadima was being settled in a wheelchair. There were lines of attendants but Grandsons wanted to do everything on their own. Geet stood at the far end of the room, just watching everyone.

Dadima had been very harsh with her, and at that moment, Geet’s broken heart was not in a condition to comfort the elderly woman, who had already distanced herself from her. Geet was uncertain whether Dadima’s dislike for her had lessened. After Dadima’s recent health incident, Geet didn’t want to risk approaching her and potentially increasing her stress. Moreover, she was not in a positive state of mind herself. She felt that getting close to Dadima wouldn’t bring about any positive change. In short, she preferred to keep her distance and watch from afar.
