Enchanted – Trapped

“Thank-you sir for showing your willingness to show your presence in the press conference this time. Reporters will be excited to see the owner of Khurana Enterprise, Raja Saheb of Kalsia estate”

“Mr. Rao. The collaboration with you, will be big for us as well. So how can I not do this much on your request. It’s just a press conference”

“Mr. Sachdev” called Vikrant

“Vikrant Sir. We are all set with everything”

“Raja Saheb is on his way to a press conference. Be prepared and high alert.”

The reporters were excited to get the first glimpse of Raja Saheb at the first hand. Vikrant Khurana has been representing Khurana Enterprise. Raja Saheb was not just the owner of the country’s biggest industrial group but was known for his expert advice in critical decisions at national level due to his great contributions in many sectors.

The reports felt extremely lucky to get a glimpse of young and dynamic Raja Saheb.

Maan settled and greeted everyone with a nod. He was a king, leadership quality and aura simply flowed from his each gesture. 

Reporters simply got mesmerized by his talks. Later reporters started asking him questions and he efficiently answered them. More than question, it was curiosity to know Raja Sahib.

It would have been twenty minutes of talks when suddenly a bullet came with speed and hit Raja Saheb. and he fell on ground. He fell down immediately, unconscious

Shock waves moved everywhere, and all over. Immediate ambulance and security covered the area. Reporters were sent out but the news of Raja Saheb being shot spread like fire. 

Ambulance came, and it was overtaken by his security as they immediately took him to the best super speciality hospital.

City police and Raja Saheb’s personal security surrounded the whole area from ground and air to stop any movement of anyone from surrounding areas.

Within an hour, the news reached Geet, Dadima, Kalsia, Annie, Handas and the whole nation. Panic ran through everyone.

Within another hour, the shooter, associates and conspirators were arrested.

Dadima in Kalsia reached Bangalore via Private Jet in a couple of hours. 

Geet was in panic, her brain was restless, not working. Vikrant was also not available. She has to do it all alone.She coordinated with her security force and it took them time to arrange a private jet for her. 

She reached Bangalore, two hours after Dadima. By this time the investigation had been rigorous and findings clearly indicated that Palatial extended family had hand in it. People of Kalsia were on fire. They were not ready to listen and dragged the extended step family of Raja sahib out of the palace. Police were trying to keep things in control, but people were not listening. They had sympathized with this family, and it was only for the people of Kalsia that Raja Saheb had let these people in the palace. But now when they have hurt their Raja Saheb and Raja Saheb was fighting with life, they will not spare these people. Police have a hard time getting hold of the extended family from people of Kalsia, after promising that they will go directly to Jail.

Geet was in the car, about to reach the hospital. Her legs and hands were frozen and they were moving continuously as she kept praying. As the car reached the hospital, Geet ran inside, her security running behind her. 

Dadima and Vicky were pacing outside in the lobby when Geet reached there. Geet looked at Dadima, who was pacing in nervousness and praying continuously

“Dadima” Geet said as she looked at Savitri Devi. Her all held up tears rolled down. Savitri Devi looked at her. Geet moved forward to hug her, to get and give some console, when Dadima stepped a step back and next Geet felt a hard slap on her cheek

“Dadima” Geet looked at her in surprise. Vikrant who was all lost till now in his own inner fight, immediately reached there

“Dadima!!!” he shouted

“Get out of my sight. I regret the day I decided you for my grandson”

“Dadima?” Geet looked at her with questions

“Dadima!!” exclaimed Vikrant. 

Geet left Dadima and moved to Vikrant “I want to see Raja sahib. Where is he?”

Vikrant lowered his head to her “Bhabhi, he is in ICU”

Geet held his collar “What were you doing. How could it happen when you were always with him” she shouted, pushing Vikrant.

Vicky, lowered his head as he stumbled but Dadima pulled Geet by her arm

“He can never lack, that is his devotion to his brother. Had it not been you, this would have never happened. Was your childishness more important than your husband”

“Dadima, nothing, absolutely nothing is more important than my husband to me. Nothing is above Raja Sahib. I will not even in dream put him in danger” She turned to Vicky

“Take me to Raja Sahib. I want to see him”

Dadima again pulled her “You are not allowed to see him”

“Dadima, it has been revealed who all are involved in this. Please stop blaming Bhabhi for no reason”

Dadima looked at Vicky with surprise written over her face “How could you Vicky. From when can this girl from outside became more important to you that you are supporting her, knowing she is the reason of this condition of his”

“Dadima, Bhabhi is family. How can you say that? She is Rani Sahiba of Kalsia. And she is nowhere responsible for this. She has no idea of anything at all. That person is simply lying. They are just trapping Bhabhi as their deeds have come out. This is their back plan to break our family”

Geet held Vicky’s hand “Are you taking me to my husband or I go find him myself. TAKE ME TO RAJA SAHIB” she shouted in panic

There came the nurse “I am sorry Ma’am. But if you can keep your voice low. Whole hospital is on run for Raja Sahib

“I am taking you Bhabhi”

“Vicky if you take her to him. I will throw her name as well in Kalsia and then you know what people of Kalsia will do with her”

Gee turned to Dadima “Dadima, I do not know, who has told you what. But I need to see Raja Sahib” and she moved ahead to follow as Vicky signaled her.

“Vicky, one step ahead and your Rani Sahiba’s name is ruined forever” Vicky stopped.

Geet ran to reach Vicky and turned to face him “Fine. I will go on my own”

“Bhabhi No” he whispered and pleaded her with his eyes

“You don’t want Bhai to go into lifelong guilt if your name is dragged. I cannot risk that” He came closer to her and whispered “I am sorry and am ready to take any punishment from you for this dare. But let  Bhai get better first”

Geet shook her head not accepting his words and ran to the gates of ICU wards. Vicky signaled the guards to not let her in. What could he do? He was disobeying his Bhabhi, but he could not risk her name being dragged. He cannot let Dadima make such a huge mistake in her feat of anger.

As Geet neared the ICU gate which had big lobby inside it with number of different ICU’s, general, special and VIP ICU rooms, the security stopped her

“Let me go in. I need to see my husband”

“Sorry ma’am” they lowered their head

Geet slid down on her knees in frustration. Her tears just rolled down. Her heart was dying to get out of her body and meet him. She hated herself. He was laying there and she all fit sitting there, not able to do anything.

“Come with me” she heard dadima’s stern voice. A ray of hope shone on her. She followed Dadima but Dadima took her to a room. Vicky entered just behind them

“Dadima, trust me. That boy is lying. They are framing Bhabhi”

“How do you know vicky?”

She called the officer and pressed the remote. The big screen lit up and there stood Sandde, her classmate and recent member of her group, Sandeep behind the bar. 

“Sandeep” slipped from her lips

“So you know him? What have you to say more, Vicky? Is this not enough that she has leaked information”

“Why is Sandeep behind the bar?”

“He is one of the accused who has leaked the information about Raja Sahib”

“How can he?”

“He was caught and has confessed. Now you say how did he know?”

“Dadima, how can he confess, he does not know anything about Raja Sahib. He used to keep asking me”

“Here you go. See vicky, she confessed”

“Dadima, he just asked random curious questions. I will never ever expose Raja sahib information.”

“The day Raja Sahib went, did you not let him know”

“It was just…I was a bit sad and my friends teased me. He was just there. Dadima, I did not say anything to him”

“Did he not discuss if your Raja sahib was going south”

“He did mention but i did not say anything”

“I do not want to hear anything, Geetanjali. Now it’s on you, who has to think, where you have landed your husband. Do you deserve to see him”

“Dadima, it is a big trap for dragging Bhabhi’s name. We need to stand united”

“You leave it Vicky. I never thought you could forgive Bhai’s culprit. Geetanjali, you just ponder on your deeds” and she left

Geet sat down there in the dark room. Not knowing where she went wrong. But if she is even a percent responsible for this condition of her Maan, she will punish herself.

Three hours passed by, Geet sitting in the dark room, punishing herself and trying to figure out where she went wrong. She did not get her answer, but if Sandeep was an accused then it must be her mistake. And she started going into deep guilt of being responsible for this condition of her husband.

It had been five hours and operations were going. Dadima and Vicky had been visiting the ICU. Her parents arrived as well and got to listen to all kinds of things from Dadima for their daughter’s deed. They felt Geet had let them down.

After five hours, the doctor came and declared that the operation is successful but Raja sahib will be kept in twelve hours of observation.

“Can we go see him?” asked Savitri Devi

Vikrant moved to Geet’s room “Vicky, if you pass any information to her, you know what I will do”

“Dadima, Bhai is out of danger now. Please don’t punish her for no fault”

“She does not deserve to go to him. Let her complete her punishment first.”

Her parents were upset with her as well. Though they knew how much she was waiting for the news, they had no guts to speak.

Dadima went to see Maan lying unconscious. Her brave and strong Grandson, The Raja Sahib, was lying helpless at the mercy of doctors. Her tears fell down like a stream. She caress his hair

“I will not forgive anyone who is responsible for this condition of yours.” She kept showering her love to him till the nurse requested her to leave. Savitri Devi somehow pulled herself away. Maan was her biggest weakness. She had immense love for both Vicky and Annie as well but Maan was way way ahead from all. And that was the reason, Geet’s road to Maan was getting tough each day. 

Later Vicky went and sat beside unconscious Maan. All this while Geet was in the dark room, punishing herself, not even knowing he was now out of danger.

Twelve hours passed, with Vicky forcing everyone to have something and Dadima fed him too. The only thing was he was not allowed to go to Geet. She was still sitting on the ground in the dark room, punishing herself for the fault she did not know, she ever did.

Annie has arrived now. She looked for her Bhabhi and Dadima told her the same thing. Her anger on Geetanjali was nowhere to subside.

“Dadima, you selected Bhabhi for Bhai. Now that Bhai loves her, you are doing all this. How could you even think Bhabhi can do any such thing”

“She did. Ask her, how could she do it?”

“I know Bhabhi well, she loves Bhai so much. She can never ever leak anything about him. She is not that childish especially when Bhai is the subject”

“Annie, do you know who you are speaking to?” warned Dadima.

In the meantime, Nurse came, “Raja Sahib has gained consciousness. Doctor has said..”

Doctor himself reached there with a big smile on his face 

“Congratulations, Mr. Khurana has gained consciousness  and his parameters are good.”

“Can we meet him?”

“Of course, but one by one”

Maan was looking at the gate. He was not allowed much movement but he could turn his face and slight movement of his limbs. He was waiting to meet his family. He knew his little wifey would be the first one to come. She will never know the truth but he knew he was her culprit. What all she must have gone through seeing him in this condition. He was dying to soothe her pain. Same with Dadima and Annie but for Geet, he was the world beyond anything. He has to also take Vicky out of his guilt. These all were the tasks ahead of him.

But, this was needed to get the parasites out of their hole. A little leak of information, slight loosening of security and he knew the attack would happen.

Vicky went inside the room. He looked at his elder brother. Even with all the medical equipment around him, his face had that confident look which can give anyone strength.

Maan was surprised to see Vicky and not Geet. He gave a smile to his younger brother. Vicky went near him and slid on his knees

“How could I allow you to go through this?”

“I ordered you. Did you even have any option?”

“For your order, I placed your life at stake”

“I knew with you being there, nothing can happen to me”

He moved his hand to touch Vicky’s head “Don’t move?” Vicky almost ordered

“So ordering me?” He tried to lighten the mood. Vicky simply took his palms and touched them to his lips.

Next Annie came and hugged him. 

“Bhai, how could this happen to you?”

“What happened to me? See I am all good.”  They talked little as Maan could not speak much in that condition but she stayed there for some fifteen minutes and left.

Nurse then checked him and asked him to rest.

After an hour again they allowed one person at a time.

Dadima went this time, while Vicky and Annie were restless to send their Bhabhi in. Knowing very well how much both must be eager to meet each other. But their hands were tied.

Dadima went inside, talked to him with all love and care. Maan kept assuring her but her worry did not stop.

“Dadima, it’s all good. I am fine. It just hit my shoulder and leg. I was covered”

But she was inconsolable. 

Later he asked “Dadima, where is Geetanjali”

“You do not need to worry about everyone at this time. You need to relax. I will take my leave now, you rest dear”

“Dadima, where is she? I need to meet her”

“Son, take a rest now. Once you are fine, you will meet her” and she left without giving him a chance to speak further.

But Raja Sahib, who ran the whole empire in business and Kalsia. It did not take him time to realize, there was something fishy.

Rano and Mohinder wanted to see Raja Sahib and meet Geet as well but Savitri Devi stopped them as well. They should suffer because of their daughter’s deed.

After an hour , it was evening now. All had something to eat and drink except Geet, who was punishing herself and who was punished by Dadima.

The nurse came to them “Raja Sahib has declined to take any medication”

“Why? I will talk to him” said Savitri Devi, when Annie and Vicky knew the reason well.

“He has declined to meet anyone. Only when he meet his wife, he will take the medication of any diet”

Dadima tried hard, but Maan refused to meet anyone except his wife. Defeated, Savitri Devi had to ask Vicky to send her to Raja Sahib. 

Vicky ran to his Bhabhi. Geet turned to find someone in the dark room after almost twenty hours

“Bhabhi, Bhai has come to sense”

Geet heard and before turning to Vicky, gave a quick prayer to her Babaji. She was there in the dark for twenty hours, not eating or drinking anything. Just praying for his well being and cursing herself.

“Bhabhi , he needs you. He is gained his conscious”

“He gained consciousness? Is he all good?”

“Yes, and he won’t take medication anymore before he sees you”

“Take me to him” her punishment was not above him. And before Vicky could say anything, she ran to the ICU.

Now it was Raja Sahib’s order and the guard let her in.
