Poles Apart – Chapter 23

Two months have passed and Maan will be returning tonight. 

Before leaving for foreign tour, Maan had organized the board meetings and declared Geet to the Board of directors as The Managing Director of Khurana Enterprise.

The news has floated within the organization via a Congratulations Email from him to Geet, asking everyone to congratulate her and also giving the details as to how she rightly deserved the position and they are lucky to have her.

Even a press conference had been held to declare it. Maan had flown, letting Geet learn and start on her role in KE. Geet has been busy these days with starting on her new major role in KE along with her role in her own company. 

Though Maan had retained all his loyal and extremely efficient human resources, making sure she has a good helping hand and she is not lost.

Maan entered his Mansion directly from the airport. He felt tired to enter the house filled with the kinds of people, making him more lonely.

As he stepped inside the Mansion after two months, he was stopped by harsh words of Sanjeev Khuaran

“Mannuu..”

Maan ignored and moved ahead “Mannuu… how can take such decision. How can you snatch every power from your family and give it to that girl”

Maan turned and stepped to Mr. Khurana with his intense gaze

“I did it because I wanted to do it. And that is the fact, accept it. I want no further discussion and argument on it. one word from you on that and I will throw this family out of this Mansion.”

Sanjeev raised his hand on Maan “This is how you talk to your father” but Maan held his hand in air

Geet, who came here to surprise him, had just entered and witnessed the shocking truth. Maan’s father was alive. Sanjeev Khurana was Maan’s father. But how? How is it even possible? Her professor had been staying in this house as a lone man. 

Her mind revisited all the events of his loneliness when his father was there all the time. Ohh now she could feel the reason for him not being able to move out from his loneliness. She thought with determination, the decision that she has taken is perfectly right.

“Professor” she ran and hugged him. Maan was surprised to see her there but he kept the surprise to himself and hugged her back. She tippy toed and placed soft kisses on his cheeks, ignoring the fact that Sanjeev even existed.

This was Geet, who had her own way to answer people. 

Sanjeev looked at Geet from top to bottom. She had sleeveless loose silk collared top and micro mini short at bottom.

She stood hugging Maan from side “How was your trip prof.”

Before Maan could answer “So this is the reason you gave her this position.” He turned to Geet

“Incredible quality, Geet Handa” before Geet could answer in her smart way, Maan was already on fire. His finger on face of Mr. Khurana

“Mr. Khuranaaaaaa!!!” he was shaking from anger. The man in front of him was his biological father, unbelievable.

“One word against her and your family is out of this Mansion. This is my last warning. Say a word now if you want to test it”

Seeing his anger Geet pulled him “Prof. Come” and she dragged him upstairs with him

Sanjeev went inside to hear allegations from Ragini

“When you know, nothing is in your control. Why do you try to show your arrogance to him? Uselessly don’t try to prove to me that you have control over your son, because you don’t have.”

She came in front of him and held his collar “I am warning you, don’t do anything that will make him throw us out of the Mansion. And you very well know, you hold no power in front of him.”

Geet was pinned in the wall with Maan bordering her from either side

“What was it?” he demanded an answer for her act. Geet smiled and brought her hand up to his face and traced her finger from his forehead to his jawline and stopped her finger at his lips

“Missed you”

Maan could not stop but smiled. She lifted herself and circled her hand around his neck

“Do you think I have any problem if you keep me captive like this?”

Maan wrapped his hand around her waist and pulled her closer to him in a jerk and slammed his lips on hers. After a deep kiss, he then separated to see her wet lips. His eyes went down to get the view of her hardened nipple peeking from inside her shirt and the thin material inside it.

“You don’t have any problem with anything. You don’t care if you come under the scrutiny of people by your act, but I care. You have to know I can’t take a single wrong word against you”

Geet loosened her heels from her feet and got her feet on his shoes still circling her hand around his neck

“I know you can handle such people for me. So I get liberty to keep my focus on one and that’s what I am doing” He smiled on her face which was so close to hers.

Geet was touring his room minutely observing his art when Maan left to get freshen up.

She was lost in his artwork, they were really precious. There were few paintings covered and she was tempted to uncover them. She must have just placed her hand on one cover sheet

“By the way, what brings you here?” She turned to him as he came with a towel wrapped around his waist and bare top giving the wonderful view of his torso. She got a naughty idea and she moved sensually towards him. Maan sensed her naughtiness and kept standing there, smile on his face, waiting for her sweet naughty move. 

She came closer and roamed her index finger of right hand on his wet bare front sending shiver all through Maan “This”

She looked at him my tilting her face and naughty sly smile “This brought me here”

Ohh now she definitely was triggering him to show her the real him. He bent down and picked her up.

Soon she was on bed and he was hovering over her. He pinned her hands and shook his head and water from his hair spread on her face. She giggled and wiggled and he laughed further, shaking his head more and then slamming his lips on her, his hand roaming free on her silky bare slim legs. The usual melancholy of the room was replaced and filled with laughter and love. 

Had Geet not been visiting him, he would have been seething in anger and would have already started on his drinks. But his current state was completely opposite. 

As he separated from her, her next set of words surprised him

“Don’t I have the right to come here? Do I not deserve to be here?”

He kept looking at her face, moving his eyes all over as if trying to search some answer

“You have all rights on me and my everything, inspiration?”

He kissed her forehead and left her there to get his shirt on himself.  Geet got up and hugged him from behind

“Then I want to be here, always. I want to belong here” Surprised he turned to look at her. She placed her hand on his bare shoulders 

“I want to be here so I am sure you are never lonely, I want to be here to see how you move your brushes on the canvas, I want to be here so that these covered paintings are no more secrets from me, I want to be here so I am standing with you when your legs shake with anger seeing indifference of your own father”

He kept searching her face in surprise “Inspiration?” he uttered in low husky voice

“I want to belong where you belong” 

“Do you know what that means?”

“I know very well. And once I have decided, I don’t give up on anything, you know, right? And that is why I am your inspiration… umm” she caressed his face from her hand

No, he could not bring her in this mess, where he has to deal daily with his father who reminded him every now and then the unfairness and emotional torture that his mother had to go through. Where he had to deal daily with the father who was emotionally so indifferent to him while going to all length for his other kids. 

“But my proposal expired long back inspiration” he said trying to be witty

Geet hanged herself on him “But my proposal starts from now and it has no expiry date, Professor”

Maan sighed “You have just taken a position in KE. Don’t give people all around and these downstairs, reason to make assumptions”

“I don’t care what the world thinks of me and I know one day you will trust my feelings. All I know is I am not letting you stay as a lone in your own house.” 

She went to the closet and got a thin white shirt and jeans for him. 

“Now get ready and come to this restaurant. I have arranged dinner for us in your welcome”  She winked “Just two of us. And to your question, I came to invite you” she handed him the envelope, which held restaurant information.

He could not say anything. She has planned everything. She kissed his cheeks and uttered in his ears

“Will meet you directly there”

She left him in his room to ponder, giving him no choice and entered his mother’s room

She stood in front of his mother’s portrait 

“He is not sure about my feelings but you know my feelings for him, right? And I know you too want him to move forward and enjoy his life.” she paused

“So I am going to do it today. I can’t leave him alone for long in order to gain his trust. One day he will trust my feelings and he will have faith that I will be by his side, no matter what. Need your blessings for today”

She took a Diya and lit in front of her, smiled and left.

Maan stopped his car in front of ‘Qla’, an outdoor seating restaurant inspired by European style. The attendant took his car for valet parking and he was led to the seating at the corner outdoor seating. Geet had reserved their seat specifically to get some privacy and get a wonderful night scenic view.

He was settled and enjoying the cool breeze and his shirt flew baring his top front as his top three buttons were open.

He then saw Geet coming towards him in an entirely different look. She had a baby pink churidar, her hair straightened and she adorned single line pink earrings. She looked like an angel, complete opposite of her sassy look she had when she visited him in the afternoon.

He got up as she reached near him. They gave a warm hug and settled. 

“Appreciate your choice of place”

“Thanks”

They ordered light drinks and appetizers. Geet picked a piece from toothpick and offered it to him. Maan smiled, held her hand in his, brought his face forward, took a bite licking her finger in the process. Geet blushed. They kept smiling and kept feeding each other and the light music kept going on in the background.

After dinner, Geet asked the server to wait for dessert. She got up and forwarded her hand to him. Maan smiled on how things are going in a reverse way for them. There has to be a reason that made her his inspiration. She completed the part of personality that he lacked. She took him on the deck and they did a slow dance at start and then Maan pulled her to him in jerk from her waist, making her jump and come to him

“What’s the idea ma’am” Geet smiled,seperated a bit and took his palms in her either ones and lifted them up. She kissed his palms one by one

She looked deep into his eyes, emotions filled in her eyes and then she looked at the moon glowing in the full moon night

“Marry Me. I promise to you with all my heart, in this beautiful Full Moon Night that I will always be with you, in your thick and thin. Please give me a chance to prove my feelings.”

He kept looking into her eyes. It was such a unique and beautiful moment. He had no answer, words were stuck in his throat as her angelic beauty, her words and emotion filled eyes captivated him. 

“I trust you will not deny my proposal” she broke his trance

Maan sighed “You know it’s not in me to deny you. Buy why? Why Inspiration. Why are you dragging yourself in…” she placed her index finger on his lips and shook her head in No, stopping him from speaking further.

Geet hugged him “Thank-you!!” she placed kiss on his both cheeks and smiled at his face

“Let’s have some dessert and start our new journey with sweetness”
