Rakshak – Part 27

Geet had worked late night on Saturday and was sleeping late on Sunday. There was a knock on the door. She ignored it once but then there was a knock again “Geet” Geet immediately sat down, her heart thumping strongly “Maan?”. She shook her head “No Geet, stop hallucinating him and imagining him appearing here suddenly.”

“Geet” she heard it again. She could not believe it was really him. She placed her palm on her mouth, her whole self shaking “Maan” escaped her lips, she closed her eyes and tears dropped down her cheeks.

Geet got down her bed but was glued to her location, not able to move. It is her illusion. She was lost, shaken still in her position when the door opened, increasing her heart beat. And there entered Maan and their eyes met. Geet blinked twice to confirm it was really him and every time he was there standing still, no expression on his face. Or say he was so full of emotion, he went numb seeing her after a gap of 3.5 years. 

He was much more well built now, how much more manly. How badly her heart wished to be crushed in his arms.

He kept scanning her for a while, still the most beautiful woman in the world for him. But the pain that covered her face, reached his heart, piercing it.

 Their eyes were hooked when Maan saw tears making their way to her cheeks. He slightly closed the door behind him and moved towards her. Her heart, scared if this was still an illusion, made her foot move backwards as he kept moving forward. His each step ahead, her each step back.Still keeping his eyes locked with her, he kept moving forward, she backward. At last she hit the wall and he reached her, her heart beating fast with his fragrance, he being so close to her. Maan placed both his hands on her either side, came closer and bent down and placed his forehead on hers. They stayed there like that for long. Trying to sink in the fact that at last they were near each other.

Later Maan moved a little, looked at her face and raised his hand to wipe her tears which were flowing unstoppable. Geet raised her hand slowly and hesitantly raised it to place on his heart, it was beating fast, just like hers. He stayed there still, letting her do whatever she wanted to do with him. She slowly came closer, encircled her hand around him and hugged him tight.

“Geet” he spoke at last. She closed her eyes to feel her name from his lips. It looked like a dream. Their normal life now looked like a dream. Being in arms of her Maan looked like a dream. 

Maan bent down and picked her in his arms and led her to bed. Geet kept clinging to him, her eyes fixed on his face. Maan smiled looking at her, how could he not, his jaan was in his arms, all into him. He laid her on bed and settled beside her, bent down and pressed his lips on her “Maa-aan” she breathed in. He pushed his tongue inside hers and she did the same. They leisurely kept rolling inside each other, tongue and lips playing in rhythm, they felt every bit of it, living every bit of it. Slowly her hand went around his and pulled him closer “Maa-aan” she again uttered in between.

After they separated, he kept looking at her face and she kept drinking every feature of her husband. He tucked her hair behind “Neeche chalen” She nodded for no. He settled beside her on bed and she placed her head on his lap

“Is this true?” she again confirmed and he simply kept threading her hairs, which were so messed up now 

“You want to know how” She nodded for No, again “Just stay this way near me. I don’t want to know anything”

Maan rubbed her arm “Geet, do you mind remarrying me?”

“Why? Are we no longer husband and wife?”  “Shhh… don’t ever say that. If you don’t want, I will say no to Maa”

“Maa want this?” “Hmmm.. she wants to celebrate your coming back in our life. She wants to show the whole world how lucky her son is to have a wife like you. She wants to shower so many blessings on you and she thinks marriage is one occasion when she can do it to full of her heart”

“I missed her” he could feel her tears on his lap and his hand simply went on her cheeks to wipe them

Maan was just soothing her, within he was loaded with guilt to have made her go through all this. Had he not convinced her, she would never ever have agreed for this separation. Her fear was true, it tore them apart. It will take them so much time to heal. This gap period will keep coming, reminding them of days they were separate. How will he even ask forgiveness from her? She will forgive him even without asking, that was her love for him. 

They were silent. Their silence spoke volumes as they were engrossed feeling their closeness after so long, lost in their own thoughts.

“Love me Maan, make me alive again”

He gave a little laugh, “You don’t want me to bring that side of me. You will end up thinking that is the reason your husband was missing you”. Geet’s heart was filled with twinkling stars. Maan looked at her and his hand slid inside her shirt and made contact with her skin. Geet felt she would burn and hugged him tight.

“I was so scared if you would deny even talking to me” he said kissing her forehead

“I would have but you are lucky my heart always ditches me in your favor” he pulled her closer.

Down in the huge dining hall, Mohinder was checking again and again if all arrangements were fine. 

“Sir, should I call Geet Ma’am down”

“No. Did  I not say, no one is going on that floor. They will come down on their own. I don’t want any disturbance there unless they need your service”

Mohinder knew his sin was endless and non forgivable but now he had left thinking about himself. His heart was thrilled, Maan was here to meet Geet. His daughter can be angry with him now but her happiness, her life was with her. His heart was elated feeling how Geet got her life back.

“Sir, you should not have something” The head chef stated, knowing very well, Mohinder could not stay empty stomach for late.

“You keep focus on all arrangements, not me”

“Geet…. the old man cannot stay hungry for long. Let’s come down”

She looked at him in anger “Your goodness has earned us enough suffering” she left him and went to the washroom.  Maan kept looking at her. Her anger was fully justified and he was waiting to take her home and pamper her, take all her anger away.

But Geet, as she closed the washroom door- she closed her eyes and a big smile formed on her face. She placed her palms on her lips “Gosh, Maan is really here, he is really here to take me back” she looked herself in mirror and scolded herself, looking at her image

“And you showed anger to him, Great.” Geet got freshen up. Yeah they need to head down. However pained and angry she was with her Dad, she cannot let his health suffer. But why can he not have breakfast on his own and leave her with her Maan. At this moment filling her belly was the last thing of her interest, being in his arms was her priority.

Maan was there, waiting for her when she came out after freshening up, ohh it felt so beautiful. She wanted to absorb each moment.

“I will change and come” he moved to her bringing her to the mirror and stood behind her embracing her from his front. They could see each other in the mirror. Geet could see how he can see the red color of her face

“I can help” her eyes widened “You doubt?” he asked with a smile

Smile formed on her face and she turned to him, her hands on his either shoulder “How can I doubt your capabilities in such stuff. But I doubt then you will end up keeping you favorite man hungry for long”

“My favorite, really?” she pecked his lips and left him to change. Maan had some relief, seeing her relaxing a bit.

Geet and Maan both were surprised to see the range of foods arranged on the table. It was just,‘a breakfast’. Geet did not miss, it was all Maan’s favorite. Felt happy for the deserved respect her husband was getting at last. He did not have to become The Maan Singh Khurana to get this respect, that made her feel sad. They quietly settled and Mohinder settled as well. He kept looking at Geet’s face but she ate silently, not giving him any satisfaction of seeing her happiness. Mohinder also stole glances at Maan, who was quietly having his breakfast. He, anyways, avoided Mohinder and Mohinder did not know how to speak to Maan. The uncomfort was clearly hanging in the air. Mohinder ignored, he will keep doing, one day kids may forgive him. His deeds were unforgivable though, though he had hope, kids were much softer than his own self, especially Maan.

Later, Maan video conference and Savitri Devi appeared on the big screen of media room 

“Maa” “Geet” both ladies had tears in their eyes

“My daughter, how are you?” “Now that he is here” she pulled Maan closer to herself, he helped her by coming even closer and embracing his hand around her shoulder from behind. Savitri Devi, herself did not know how happy she was, seeing the kids together. Her prayers were finally heard.

“How are you Maa?”

“Now that I see both of you together” she simply raised her hands to bless them. Geet could see the background of the house, it looked beautiful.The best thing was Maa looked so good with her health. Sign of her paralysis was almost gone.

“I got the date fixed of marriage, next month”

“What? No Maa, I am bringing her home today” 

“Maa, I want to be there, with you” Geet pouted, she looked at Maan and hit him on his arm “and him”

Savitri Devi gave a small laugh “Beta you can. But I wanted to decorate this house as a bride to welcome my daughter in this house in a bridal look. But I don’t want to be the reason for your pain. So… ”

“Maa, it’s ok. It’s just one month”

Savitri devi smiled “But only on one condition. Keep him with you for a week. I don’t want any interference in marriage preparation and welcome of my daughter”

Both smiled knowing very well the reason for her condition.

After the call disconnected, Geet turned and placed her head on his chest. Maan pulled her closer, she cocconed herself in the safe shelter of his embrace. Her one hand went on his cheek and his on her arm, softly rubbing them. They stayed like that for a long while, slowly absorbing that they are together.

It had been a while, and by now buttons of his shirt were opened, her hand roaming on his front, feeling his bare body, his hand inside her shirt, and bra unhooked, feeling the softness of her body, his fingers playing with her tightened tips. In the same position, their hands doing work, arousing them for the night.

Lunch was again quiet. After lunch

“Woo” Maan uttered, Mohinder turned to look at Maan. Maan hesitated as to how to say “Wooo… is it ok if I see the office files with Geet. I have been observing Handa Groups share prices going down. Profits too. You are much more aware of business world than me, I was just wondering”

“Everything is yours and Geet’s. You can have access to everything, you don’t need to ask me” Mohinder was elated. He knew his business was going down but the fact that Maan had kept tabs on their business, even from far and was concerned for his business. 

Maan left with geet, Mohinder kept looking at them. Thinking of himself as a fool of not being able to see the depth that Maan carried in his character.
