Enchanted – Realization on way

Geet had not been at rest. Restlessness has overtaken her. Surprisingly, it was not Maan sir, but her husband who have overtaken her brain. Was it only brain? Maybe not.

Her heart felt jealous of everyone who have talked to her husband, they have interacted with him. How was everyone so awed with him. He was special, she knew. Smile would form on her face – he was her husband they were so awed with. There was urge to know him. She was falling for him, somewhere very badly.

How he looked? Everyone said he is very handsome. Is he so handsome? Her Husband. With Handsome her thought went to Maan Sir. Is he really that handsome – At level of Maan Sir?

Collage has started in full swing. It was busy day for all students – Lectures, thesis, presentations etc.  It was break time and one of Geet’s friend was continuously on phone these days at break

After she was back, Geet teased her “Pritha always on call with her would be since she is back from vacation”

“Yeah, I am engaged now. You will know once you are committed in a relation” That hit Geet but she smiled faintly

“But my would-be is really demanding. He won’t appreciate if I don’t pick his call, esp. when it’s break time.”

“But you have your life here, he should understand” Geet argued.

“It does not work that way any in relation dear. We both need to make each other wanted, give the feeling of importance. Friends are friends but I am going to be bound by him for lifetime. We both need to know each other”

“Off course, even for me. I will feel offended if my fiancé would not make me feel important. It can hurt anyone’s ego, be it man or woman. One can be excited for new relation and if other party show no interest, how will it work” said one of the boy of her group.

“Pritha – How will it feel if your Fiancé accepts the relation exactly on your terms, for example you don’t want to keep in touch till marriage or after marriage till you feel comfortable”

“REALLY?” everyone said in unison

“If someone agrees to such condition then there is some defect definitely. Or else it’s not real world thing”

“If the other one is more than perfect, yet agrees then” Geet somewhere was fearing the answer but it was time now she felt, to come to reality

“Then you hit the Jackpot. It’s not real. Don’t try it out” they just laughed out. And then dispersed.

Somewhere it was hitting Geet. She has been traveling in some unreal world. Marriage doesn’t work the way she is experimenting. It’s a real thing between two people. And if we have decided to come into it, that is to be followed with some rules. Has she stretched her condition little too far. Will her husband, THE Raja Sahib, accept her?

But she has to talk to Maan Sir first. What if Maan Sir has taken her flirting seriously? She has to bring it to closure.

“It was just a light hearted flirt. I didn’t cheat my husband. I always knew I have to go back to him, how could I?” she tried to console herself, tried justifying her acts.

Geet reached office exactly at 5 pm. Maan Sir would be in office today after so long. She did not know how to bring up the issue.

As Geet was lost in her own though of how to talk to Maan Sir. Opps… he was also her husband’s employee, efficient and Loyal. Why had she ignored all these things before? She knew the answer; she was running from reality of her life. Somewhere back, behind her mind, challenging him.

Why has she, for no reason taken fight with her own husband. It was her own inferiority complex. He was Royal, she was commoner. She had assumed he will rule her and there will be no equality. She never tried to know the reality. Her friends were making sure their partners are happy with them. All she had tried is to make sure he is not happy with her. Trying to show attitude.

As the lift opened to the floor on which she worked, her eyes went on Viccky coming towards her side.

Geet immediately covered her face with scarf and swiftly moved to other side. No she was not scared of Viccky. But not now. She has to talk to Maan Sir first.

She went to Female Room, freshened herself and touched her make up slightly. And then set off to settle in her room. Her face covered with scarf.

After settling up and checking her office emails and important message, she slightly opened the blind of her cabin to check on Maan Sir. Blind of his cabin was down, but she could figure out, there were two people in the room. So Maan Sir is back.

He was sitting and other one standing. Then after his signaling, the other person sat. So he must be someone working under Maan Sir.

In Maan’s Cabin

“Vikrant take a seat and let me take look into the report”

“Sure Sir” Office was office, no relation here.

“So they are targeting her now” he rubbed his temple. It was serious matter. He always knew she was the weakest link and can come under scanner. It is good the security that he has set for her are one of most efficient.

They cannot do any harm to her, with information reaching to him on time but alert alarm was high. Also slightest touch on her will be hand on his respect and name but above that was HER.

“I need to know all whereabouts of her. Where she is in college and where she is working.”

“But your promise”

“She had to come back to me on time. Her condition cannot be fulfilled for unlimited timeframe. And nothing is above her safety. It will be direct hit on Kalsia Empire. I cannot risk that.”

“So, I will talk to her security and get information to you”

“No, ask them to come with report directly to me. I will soon be leaving the office. I want them to report me directly in the Mansion.”  

“Sure” Vikrant took order and opened the door to take his leave.

Geet peeped out of her cabin and saw Viccky coming out of Maan Sir’s cabin. She hid herself. And settled in her cabin

Now Geet was confused –Who was sitting and who was standing. Viccky was a prince and Maan Sir would not be sitting while Prince standing.

But then it was Maan Sir’s cabin and she could not imagine in any case, Maan Sir standing and reporting Viccky. Her system could not accept that.

She saw Viccky elegantly moving out, waving hands at the employees. He had his own charm. Off course he was designed to represent Khurana enterprise.

Ok, she will push aside her focus on Viccy and move it to Maan Sir.

Maan had already wrapped up his stuff and was moving out when Geet entered his cabin

“Sir can I come in?”

“Yes come in. Actually I was about to call you.” Geet took a seat “Sir”

“Geet, listen what I am talking now very sincerely.”

But Geet wanted to finish up her talk. It was so important, things needed to be cleared.

“Sir woo”

“Geet, I want no interruption when I am speaking. So I have sent you all your list of work for next 15 days. I will be busy and may not be available as something important need my attention. But I want report from you in email. You have improved in your work, so now that I have assigned you is something real. That will actually really matter in my decisions”

“So till now that I was working was fake” she had been working so sincerely thinking she was being useful

“Geet, don’t divert. You are just trainee; you don’t expect Khurana Enterprise to run on your reports. Listen this work is important that I have assigned and I need report from you everyday”

“Sure Sir”

“Ok Bye then. Take care of yourself. I need to leave ASAP”

“Sir, I need to talk something”

“Geet, your important stuff we will talk once I am back.” And he left.

She had important things to talk but Maan Sir did not take her seriously. Something hit Geet – For Maan Sir she is just an intern and he takes none of her talk seriously. He does not take her seriously at all.

While her husband, who have never ever seen her, gave each her wish importance. Yes, he placed rules at times but never made her feel she was not important for him. She was very important for him. The way he would not compromise with her security, worked for her image as Rani Sahiba, cared for her family, made sure she has best facility and so many things. He was probably the only person who understood the conditions that she had placed

She sat down as this realization hit her in new way now – She was running away from most caring and understanding husband that life has presented her and trying to go towards the mirage called Maan Sir.

“No not to Maan Sir but I will go and talk to Raja Sahib. He is my husband” the acceptance of the fact brought the unmatchable contentment in her heart.

On her way back home from office, the feel kept on sinking in her that she was married woman and she should talk to her husband. He was most important to her and not Maan Sir.

With that came a different type of excitement; it was now time to meet her husband. The whole feel of acceptance brought the sensation that ran through her, making her feel exactly like a new bride will have of seeing her husband for first time.
