Enchanted – Dynamics

His hard core professional talks hurt her. Why was she expecting some kind of personal touch in his words, he was just her BOSS?

“You are here to achieve best internship opportunity and I will make sure of that. Be prepared to be grilled” Geet quietly left.

Maan had to leave in an hour for his meeting. He saw from blind, Geet was trying to find the files and understand them. He kept looking at her. Somewhere he was upset with himself for scolding her this way. But what could he do, these college students these days, took all opportunity they get for granted.

He wrapped his stuff and before leaving knocked the door of her cabin. Geet raised her face to see BOSS at the door “Sir” she immediately got up of her seat stumbling and she hit her leg with chair leg

He ignored her hurting herself. That was part of her, he knew by now.

“Tomorrow, I am free at 7. You can come to my cabin for some learning” he said with serious yet concerned tone. His words, his talk were like magic on her and Geet forgot all her sadness and her face lit up.

“Sure Sir. Sir am also learning from these files” he nodded and left.

Geet smiled. Maan Sir is so nice. He cheered her up after scolding and Dusta Danav, he only knows to put his decisions on her.

Why did she always compared Maan Sir with her husband, she could not understand. But it came out involuntarily.

Though she had her own reason for not getting into the marriage as of now but being married and leading this bachelor life, many a times have now started hitting her. Her heart ached sometimes – Why did her husband accept her condition. His completely leaving her on her own, somewhere pained her. But she brushed it off and brought back her attitude. She is a modern girl and does not need tag of Raja Sahib’s wife to lead her life.

“It’s blessing in disguise Geet. He is a ruler Geet and he will only rule on you. Why do you want to meet him and get your married life dream shatter in real? I can’t even imagine my husband even knowing the meaning of romance. All he knows is to take decisions.”

Getting freedom as per her demand looked alluring to Geet at start. But now slowly, the fact that she was a married woman, her heart deep within started aching for husband’s care, his touch his love. His completely keeping off, on her wish ached her. Her breaking her own condition and going back on her own, would show she bowed down him. Somewhere wishing, Raja Sahib himself ask her. But him leaving her on her own will, pained her and that made her more arrogant towards her decision.

“Why should I bow down” But in actual when did he ask her to bow in front of him. It was her own complex thought.

Thus, Geet started finding her solace in Maan Sir. He was a different person all together and all she knew was it was impossible for anyone to not fall for him. Can any girl be left untouched by feeling romantic towards him?

He used to teach her, scold her, made her do work. They would just spend an hour or couple of hours together in office but it was enough for Geet.

His looks, his dressing, his smiles, very seldom though, each and everything he did, was simply magical and took her heart away but she knew this was just childish infatuation of hers.  She is only supposed to think about her husband, whom she did not know and who did not care to make her know him.

It was Sunday –

Raja Sahib was busy in Polo ground checking the horses. They were all best breed and were treated no less like royals in their stable. He patted each of his horses and they responded to him, as if adoring him. Game would begin in some ½ hour.

“Bhai you special guests have been seated respectfully”

“Viccky, make sure they are treated with utmost respect and honor”

“Definitely Bhai”

“Viccky, you be with the horses as I give quick visit to them” 

“Sure Bhai” respect that Viccky showered on Bhai was immense. Viccky was fun loving, enjoyed his life but one call from Bhai and he would leave anything and reach as fast as earthly power could make it possible. Raja Sahib knew this about his brother and thus he would make sure his brother enjoys his life as much as possible. He only involved Viccky when actually needed or when he needed to give him some life lesson or guidance that he needed as prince of kalsia.

He reached to his two special guest

“Mom-Dad didn’t come. It would be an honor if they were here”

“Papaji was hesitant and they had work too” Sweet girl in front of him made the excuse

He smiled “It was my mistake for sure. I should have brought them here on my own. But sorry was bit busy”

The man in his mid-20s stood and joined his hand “Please do not say so. It is big honor for us to be in place like this”

Then the girl was looking every where on the ground “Looking for someone?”

“woo Di. She could not make it” He looked down and then looked at her

“She has college trip and I forced her to go on that trip” He lied which he hates to do in most cases, but his awesome wife have left him with no option. If her family come to know about her ideas, they will be filled with guilt and anger on her

“She is married to me but I don’t want to snatch her life from her because she is married to me” that came genuinely from him.

“Ok you guys enjoy and cheer for Team Kalsia. I get going” And he left Rajji and Brij enjoy the polo match from the most VIP seat. Their excitement had no boundaries.

Team Kalsia for sure won. Raja Saheb held the trophy and Rajji was so full of pride of her Jiju. Brij prayed to Babji for bringing Raja Sahib in life of his Jhalli sister. Just hoping she does not make any blunder.

Fifteen days passed this way. One day, Geet was trying to get the file out from top rack standing on the stool. Maan was passing by and Geet was about to lose balance and fall when he caught her waist. Their eyes got locked for a while. Geet felt heavenly but Maan straightened her and scolded

“Is this office for doing stunt or do you fall down in front of me intentionally” he left her abruptly.

Maan in his cabin was very frustrated by himself. How could he, even if it was for fraction of second, how could he lose his sense to any girl in this world. It was so forbidden for him.

Geet rushed in sensing him worried “Maan Sir”

“GET OUT” he shouted.

In Khurana Mansion; Raja Saheb was sipping his coffee and looking into the files. He had whole day lined up with meetings next day and then he remembers the evening… he shook his head thinking of the event.

He closed his eyes and brought his focus on his wife Geetnajali

“She just need some time to adjust in the relation. This whole world of mine is new to her. Where is she wrong in this?” he tried to justify his wife’s wish to himself.

This was one relation, which was his. Every breath of his he took was for other and his responsibility. But she was his wife. When he thought of her, he wanted to become selfish. Once she comes back in his life, he will take away all her fear of being married to Raja Sahib. He will be her husband for her. Only she has right on him. Only a wife has right on her husband’s thought. Anyone else even for a fraction of second is a sin. How could he, just because she was far away from him for now?

He looked at his hand. He had sharp paper knife in his hand. He wanted to run that knife thru his hand and take out each blood, which made him related to his grandfather. He feared, if that part of blood ever over power him. But he could do nothing to separate his grandfather from his blood. The blood that ran into him was also part of his wonderful parents and his Dadima. He can’t hurt them by hurting himself. This type of emotional act was not him. He was badly in need of a partner. Now more as his hidden desire of sharing has been scraped by him being married. He stayed like that and then shied and left for his room.

Next day Geet tried to be simply cheerful and tease him. His mood switched off, she could not take

“You are at times, exactly like my Dusta Danav”

Maan smiled at her nomenclature “Dusta Danav” he shook his head “Now who is this?”

“Dusta Danav – he always rules over me. Just announces his decision over me”

“Whoever he is, I think he knows you very well” he laughed

“Tumhare jaise sirfiri ke saath, any sane person will do the same. Or else you can make any sensible person crazy sometime by your acts” She made a big ‘O’ face.

Then she came closer “So I make you crazy too sometimes?” That day Maan was not in mood to scold her. He ignored most of her flirts most days or else he has to scold her every day.

He then made her focus on her work. While leaving his cabin “You are not taking Dusta Danav’s side. You have to be on my side” he shook his head.

All Maan knew by now was Geet had crush on him, but he only took her lightly and made her focus on work. She would work but on the side would never leave chance of flirting with him.

He was used to girls having crush on him, they trying to get his attention, but he had much more stuff to take care and not at all time to give attention to such thing. But he would never be rude to girls.

Geet and her crazy talks only was stress releaser for him. Her crazy talks, her cribbing on her life being ruined. He could never fathom, seeing her ways, from which sense was her life ruined. He has seen people in real tough situation and she in no case looked miserable. Her all misery started and ended with her Dusta Danav.

One day he simply asked “Now, I really want to know who this Dusta Danav of yours is.”

“You just let it be sir” she used to brush it off.

“Everyone can’t be charmer like you”

“GEET, why do you keep crossing your limits.”

Geet was frustrated “I am in my limits Sir. I am bound to be in my limits. You don’t need to remind me every time my boundaries.” Geee left, Maan let her be.

Nobody ever talked to him in this tone. Not any employee, not his siblings, not his business associates, clients, nobody. No one can dare talk him in the tone that Geet sometimes talked. Neither did anyone had guts to take liberty with him during talks, but this intern. She has been taking her liberty with him from very first day. But somewhere he ignored it all.

Her talks only made him feel humane. Her crazy complains on life, which was completely invisible to him, her hard work, though it was to impress him, he knew but she did do hard work. Her taking all his anger and forgetting them all at his one word of concern. Her flirts, though he always scolded her to keep checks on it, made him feel human. There was someone, who had guts to ignored his anger and do whatever she wishes. But at the end, she was just only a crazy intern for him.
