Rakshak – Part 17

Geet just hanged to Maan.Her heart was so so heavy. As if her legs would not move away from him. It waseven tough for Maan. He felt his life was going away from him. But if he wouldget weak at this moment, it would be tough to handle Geet. Geet then left astheir eyes never left each other till the lift door open and she went inside.

Geet was all while quiet asthey were on the way to Mumbai. “At least don’t make me feel that I am your enemy. Spending time with our Dad should not be that painful”

“I love you Dad and you know how much. It’s with you whom I have found both Mom and Dad’s love. You have never let me feel lonely But…” she turned her face.

“But now you don’t see anyone beyond that Bodyguard”

“Please Dad” she said angrily but in low voice as not create any scene “This is what it is. I justcan’t talk all sweetie daughter of yours if you continuously show down myhusband and to whom I love immensely, more than myself”

“So you agree, being a Bodyguard is way below level and you feel ashamed when I call him that. But if you don’t remember, the fact is he was just your Bodyguard till he upgraded himself to your husband”

“If you don’t remember, he is that Bodyguard of your daughter who was the one who saved her from life long pain and humiliation”

“Wow great Geet. And you prized his work by handling yourself and your life to him. He was just a BG and that was his duty. If he would have kept himself limited himself, I would have awarded him with one of my firm and lifetime affluence for saving my daughter from such uncalled incident.  But he showed his true colors by marrying you”

“Dad, I don’t intend to give you any clarification on Maan’s act and his aspirations. I can only say that this daughter of yours went head over heels on him. I simply forced him to marry me when he was all out there to server himself to vultures so that he did not have to marry me”

“It was all an act Geet” “Dad I am not trying to prove Maan to you and I expect the same from you” She paused “And Dad, if you want to showdown Maan in each conversation, I am better quiet all the time and count my days of finishing up my exams and run to my hubby.”Mohinder stayed quiet seeing Geet’s protectiveness for Maan. He has to use other way to show her the reality.

On the other side, Maan had finalized the Deal to rent his Haveli. The Huge Haveli size and location were very attractive for the corporate company. In the deal he got huge monthly rent and nice3-bedroom apartment in high end society of Chadigarh, the rent of which would be paid by Company. It was the deal done as corporate Company was eager to move in fast and Maan showed his helpless ness to move out quick due to low funding. Basically it was the smartly deal done by Maan. They in return also got him signed the deal that they can do construction changes to the building to which Maan agreed on the condition that basic structure would not change.

Maan was still 23 and approaching to 24. He had been planning for how to approach his career. How many times he had seen his previous records and marks-sheets and teacher compliments that his mother has saved. This has helped realize his strength and now he was ready to take on. To make his Mom and Geet proud. To give best health treatment facility to his Mom and luxurious life to Geet. One more thing was behind his mind. He wanted Mohinder to be proud of him. He wanted to convince Mohinder that his daughter will get best life with him, emotionally and financially. He being afat her deserved this assurance, Maan felt that way. Geet has been brought up as a princess and Maan did not think Mohinder’s worry and non-acceptance was wrong.

Not only this, he wants Mohinder to accept him more like son and not only Son in Law. His father had gone and along with it a deep hollow and crave for a father figure has been installed inside Maan. Especially, when his own uncle has snatched everything from him. But he also was strong headed about one thing, he will not in any case sacrifice their love to prove anything or he will not let anyone separate Geet from him. He knew now, it was impossible to imagine a life away from her and above all that would give pain to Geet. He knew Geet needed just him so he will not do anything that will give pain to Geet.

With all this thought, Maan had been planning as how to approach his career. He has been also working on business ideas. If he will do it, he will do with excellence. He was not an average person from very start. If he was able to gain Mohinder’s attention only in Bodyguard job where he maintained low profile job, then if goes in business he wanted to be on top. He will be nothing or everything. Maan’s confidence was increasing on himself as he was progressing on making his plans.

Maan decided to start with business and along with it he will carry over his education. Education was his goal todo MBA from best school, before that he would do any 3-year graduation course with correspondence. This will give him time to focus on his business along with completing his education. Thus he enrolled for Correspondence course for B-Com.
