Enchanted – Marriage

It was shocking for Geet that he accepted both her condition. She had no condition to say no after his acceptance. Somewhere there was frustration that he agreed to not see her till she wishes. She did not get any reason to blame on his head.

An exotic resort was booked for Marriage and its functions. Mohinder wanted to spend for his daughter. Savitri Devi let them do whatever they wish but the main arrangements were done from Royal Family. Both family knew arrangements have to be up to the Royal level as it was matter of power and Royalty show. That was part of it and it had to be.

Raja Shaeb, was known for his exoticism and known for his development and affluence of Kalsia Empire. There were enemies from all end, Family and Business, eyeing to find the fault or something missing and rumors to be raised.  He never gave anyone any chance to raise any finger and it was his marriage. Rani Sahiba will be part of palace now. Everything was surrounded by so much politics. Dadima, Raja Saheb, Viccky and some very loyal officials were in charge of all the perfect arrangements.

Rani Sabiba’s introduction to the society, people and circle, have to be impactful. Raja Saheb had to deal all along with the condition placed by Geetanjali. She was not supportive and he did not mind as she did not know the complications. He would agree to her wishes for marriage as much as he could but only to the limit. The things that would affect his and Dadima’s built up image and give chance to people looking for it, he would out rightly deny.

They never directly interacted as per her wish but still she knew and he made her knew what decisions were made by him, what he approved of and what he denied. Geet was irked with him for the things he would not agree. Dadima would explain her politely that it was the need , it was his image, it was Dadima’s image and it was image of her as Rani Sahiba of Kalsia. But Geet would not agree.

“This is all price I have to pay to be married to a Royal Raja Saheb. He is the last decision maker. I am just a puppet in this relation” she had straight away complained to Dadima.

Dadima was mediator and was playing role of mediator.

“Bete it’s nothing like that. See he is not meeting you as you don’t wish. If you meet him, he may explain his point to you. There are many things you don’t know beta and those decisions are needed.”

“I understand Dadima, he is making such condition to bring me down and make me talk to him. I won’t bow down” What will Dadima tell her that her childish conditions were least of his concern at present.

Raja Saheb has requested her through dadima to not communicate their deal to her family.

She had argued on that too “Why? Why will my family not know” Geetanjali was childish, Dadima knew by now. For them she was Geetanjali. Geet was her pampered name and only those she thought were close to her heart can call her. And Royals were not close to her heart as of now. So she had strictly directed to her family and friend to call her as Geetanjali. It was formal relation and things will be formal from her side in all ways.

She was explained “Geetanjali Bete, if they know, they will force you to talk to Raja Saheb. We agree to your condition, your family won’t.” she thought and knew Dadima was right.

So the marriage functions were going on. Exclusive coverage was arranged. Arrangements were done in such a way, that it did not convey to single eye that the bride and groom were not talking or seeing each other. Unknown to Geet, whose conditions were being fulfilled, Raja Saheb, never saw her, nor came in front of her but he would be present in function in such a way to give clear feel, they were enjoying all functions together, they were very much together.

But instructions were passed, media would not cover the Royal family or his would-be and would-be’s family. They were just allowed to capture the rest function, affluence, guest etc etc.

Geet had clearly said, that after marriage she will use all his affluence but in marriage she will wear, jewelries and lehnga from her family. Her own presentation; she clearly told he cannot interfere, he agreed.

This was also presented in a very positive way. Of how his bride was special. She had such high self-respect etc. She was perfect choice. Though within he himself doubted how perfect she was for that role of Rani Sahiba. But that was for him to deal personally. This was time of presentation without a spot of flaw.

It was Marriage Day; it was Haldi in the morning. Dadima came to look at the bride. Way was made for her. She looked with loads of love to her pyaree Bahu. Her innocence, her beauty, and her cute stubbornness, her charm, her liveliness would definitely change Raja Saheb’s life. She got the photographer take her Haldi pics at different angle. And then handed the Haldi that was placed on Raja Sahib to Rano. She placed Haldi on Geet and left.

A Haldi, touched by him… a different feeling seeped but she brushed of. No she can’t be weak in name of her husband.

In the evening, Professional world class beautician got Geet ready. She was elegantly led to the bride’s seat. Everyone was lost in the beauty. Marriage was kept as private affair. The show business finished with other functions but Marriage was only very close family, friends and relative.

Geetanjali and Raja Saheb, did all rituals with covered face. But during the rituals, when their hands touched, and slight different sensation flew. They both ignored though. They took the Phera, he placed Mangalsutra and vermillion. And they were declared Man and Wife.

Geets friends were happier than Geet. Ohh their friend was married to a real king and she is now a queen. And not only that, unlike Geet, they have their eyes fixed on Raja Saheb all the while and they were all so fida on him. His physic, his ways to interact, the way he commanded everything. They were all simply floored. He had also gone ahead and talked them. They could not believe, they had nice talks with Raja Saheb. Even before marriage, in other functions they have asked Geet to talk to him and enjoy her marriage.

“Geet you are so lucky. Yaar go and talk to him, enjoy with him.”

“Why? I am lucky to marry him because he is Raja Saheb and he has blessed me by marring me.”

“No Geet. Not because of Raja Saheb, but because of who he is. You will regret later that you did not enjoy your marriage functions with your husband”

“No. You guys have no idea. He has already started bossing me. His words are last, why?

I can be his wife, but he will never get my love by the power and authority he is showing”

“Geet you know, you mess up things by your ideas. But those are small things, your family and friends fix it. But dear, this is big thing you are messing up. Itna Zidd mat ker, baat toh kerle.”

“No, I am not dying to make this work. Let me see how he makes it work.” They had at last gave up on her silly stubborn resolution.

Bidai happened and Geet cried more than she otherwise would. It was natural, she was going to be part of whole different world, whole different people

“Pagli, You will be happiest one. Raja Saheb ko hee abb tera sara pagalpan sambhalna hai. Be a good wife” her mother gave her motherly advice.

They sat on same elegant black imported sleek car. Geet was made to sit on the back seat and Raja Saheb, swiftly moved to front seat next to driver. Not giving ideas to her family. He very well knows, if they come to know about her great idea of not interacting with him till she is comfortable, they will force her to do otherwise. Being bride’s parents they would definitely be worried about her good married life. He has in this young age solved so many household problems of his people, experience has just seeped in.

But he himself will not deny this wish of her. For him, she was right in her own way and he did not want to force this relation on her until she was ready for it. He anyways had tons of things to take care of and marriage, he himself has done due to Dadima’s wish. So she can take as much time.
