Chapter 4 – Attention

She was wrapping up for the day. It had been exhaustive day. All she wanted to do was to have a nice Mom’s made tea and retire to bed. It has been so boring from few days. She has dumped Rohan and now she has none to roam around her and pick and drop her. Rohan would still come to pick her up at her one phone call, but she didn’t want to complicate things by giving him false hope. They have already gone step ahead in the relation and if now she still goes on with him, the meaning would be so clear. And she was clear, Rohan cannot be the one.

And that Sexy Devil’s big picture on cover page of that magazine, didn’t help either. Her expectation has grown high. He was out of her league she knew but at least someone, somewhere near to him. But none were even far away match to him. She preferred the magazine pic and his dream much better than all real life dummies.

She took the taxi and as soon as she settled down, her cell buzzed “Hey Anjali… what a surprise.”

“Hey Geet, how are you dear?” “I am surprised, how do you remember me suddenly. New job, new friends, Why do you need me?”

“Geet, why are you getting so cranky. Not your style”

 “Hmm.. I very well know you went to vacation. You didn’t bother to even ask me”

“Ohh Geet, that vacation and all. I have to talk to you” Geet had spark in her eyes “Why.. did something happen, really… to that level… OMG”

“Geet Stop it. Nothing has happened but can happen. Really need to talk yaar”

“Ok where and when?” “In your clinic now” “Now? Bhaiya back to clinic”

In the clinic “Will you say something?”

“Woo my boss, he wants to meet me, today 7pm.”

“So what’s the problem – If you want to spend time with him Go or else deny.” She paused

“Do you worry that he will get your job in trouble if you don’t meet”

“No, I don’t think anything such will happen.” “Then?”

“It’s suggested by all to stay away from him, all in my office call him Devil or Physco”

“If you are scared, simply don’t go. By the way, which office did you join”

“Khurana Group – I sit in main office” “Khurana Group.. Ohh congrats for new job.”

“Thanks yaar… Geet”

“Hmm.. I am listening”

Anjali closed her eyes as if to avoid the world “Actually Geet… I want to go meet him”

“Ohh hoo… so my next door girl, wanna go meet the Devil Boss” “But I am scared too”

“Hey… he won’t rape you in the cafe” “No Yaar , actually he very decently invited me.. Let me show you”

And she showed the message “7pm today – I will be there at Friend’s cafe”

“Ohh my… he is real smart” She paused “Ok, tell me his name, I will check about him in social media”

“Yaar you don’t need to go to Social media to know about him. Whole world knows him”

“Who is he?” “Maan Singh Khurana” Geet’s eye popped out and then after a while she started laughing hysterically

“He is the owner not your Boss. He must not even know your Boss by name or face and he invited you?”

“Geet, he did invite me”

“Ok… tomorrow I join Birla group and I will say, Birla owner invited me or I Join Reniance Group and I Say Manish Ambani invited me…”

“Geet, it is Maan Singh Khurana and that is why I wanted to meet you, if you don’t want to help, I am going” It was then Geet realized Anjali was true

“Ohh my sexy Devil. I spend my whole night dreaming of him and he invited Anjali.”

Geet definitely did not approve of Anjali for her sexy Devil. How can he even be interested in simple and innocent girl like Anjali. She thought – She was much more his type compared to Anjali.

“Ok Geet, I am leaving” “Anjali stop. I think I should accompany you. He is way too dangerous yaar”

This was unexpected to Anjali. She knew Geet was way too hotter and bold compared to her. Her confidence, boldness, looks everything.  Anjali was mostly in her jeans and top while Geet in her kurti but her confidence and attitude always gave inferiority to her friends.

This was special invite for her. And invite from Maan Singh Khurana was not a simple thing. She didn’t want to share those moments with anyone. It would be exclusively hers.

This is what the Devil did. He did nothing forcefully. He simply got the Devil inside each individual out. All individual, who claimed him to be devil and wore the white sheet of nice people image themselves, he just pulled that white sheet out, however thick the white sheet is, he knew to pull it out. The Devil inside would come out. And then he enjoyed meeting the Devil, Devil that he brought out.

“Geet I will be fine. I will leave, you carry on. Thanks for your suggestion”

But Geet could not leave the chance of meeting her Sexy Devil. “Anju.. what’s so desperation yaar. I will just be there as a friend yaar. See I can read his acts”

Anjali was confused but agreed.

They reached Friend’s Café five minutes early. “Anju, you need to go five minutes late, or else it will show you are desperate” Thus they entered the café at 7:05 pm.

Anjali tried to find Maan, who himself was keeping keen watch on her each activity. These were people who faked simplicity and they entered 5 minutes late intentionally “And I am The Devil. Yes, I am.”

Anjali, got the message “I am upstairs” Geet peeped in.  Geet was tempted to go upstairs. At least see him once. But then she was Geet Handa. She will gain his attention on her own.

But by taking her step on first step and then back, and then looking at first floor and then turning back in attitude and walking away, the attitude already got the attention of someone observing the scene from first floor.

But not now, it was time to focus on Anjali.

It was half an hour, Anjali left all blushy and Maan had cunning smile on his face.

Ohh His next Saturday was all set.

He then shifted his focus on something much more important. He dialed the number

“Yes sir” “What happened to Mr. Kapoor’s case”

“Sir we have made all documents” “I want the work to be done perfectly and no mistake”

“Yes sir. It’s all done. Just if you can sit to give final approval”

“Yes, let’s sit tomorrow. My Mansion. I want them Bankrupt by next Friday.” Disconnected

“Saturday Celebration!! Let this be my reason of celebration.” He talked to himself
